  1. if you still need this intake, all my work can be seen at http://www.extremeturbosystems.com. Depending on complexity and material, it could cost as much as 700 or as little as 300.

I can build an intake out of stainless steel or aluminum. mild steel is possible if you are on a serious budget, but I don't recommend it.

if you still have questions, shoot me an e-mail at john.hoyenga@gmail.com

  2. hello, I was wondering how much you would charge to build me a turbo intake for my l-series engine ? Could you please contact me a.s.a.p im interested in what you can build. if you have pics please send so I can see your work.

  3. you can buy mine :) I am selling this setup. going with a VG30DETT instead.
  4. finally an update! here are some pictures:
  5. UPDATE: the motor that is going in it is GOOD! I thought I had to send it to the machine shop again. whew! The spare tire well is in the dumpster. I had to take it out to fit the subframe in. The engine is halfway put together and the transmission is clearanced. I hope to have it running and driving without the roll cage by Canby. next hurdle is getting my hands on a clutch by canby. pics will be up tomorrow I hope.
  6. david? I think that was his name came and picked it up yesterday. thanks for the referral mike :). now I have room to work on the swap. he can tell you about it mike, other than that I am saying nothing.
  7. I am removing ALL the drivetrain parts from my 1966 411 today and do not have room to store them. what I have is a running j13, an operational transmission, a working axle assembly. I will be taking the carb off the j13 as well as the oil cap and that is it. all the parts will be sitting out in front of my garage until the last possible moment, then they will go in the dumpster. These parts need to leave to make room for the good drivetrain I am putting in. IF YOU WANT TO COME SAVE THESE PARTS, CALL ME NO EMAIL. 360-798-9184 thanks -John- 360-798-9184 EDIT: I will be holding on to these til next weekend (march 27-29) due to lack of motivation today :)
  8. it still runs and drives. it still has 11 year old fluids too. :)
  9. haha I know. I looked at in in the fixture and laughed at myself. it is a little odd looking...
  10. here are some pics of the rough fit up for measuring the width. the subframe is not completely done, but it is rigid enough for fit up. [/url] I got the diff mounted today too, had to trim the subframe and grind the diff case some. btw, a router works as a die grinder :)
  11. ooh ooh! I need to go to the junkyard with a tape measure!! didn't think about front axles from a pathfinder, they look almost the right length.
  12. I thought about that, but I have not heard of a car with axles as short as these need to be. they are so short I will have to use shorter throw struts to keep from over-articulating the axle. another thought would be to have a machine shop re-spline one end after it's cut to length.
  13. alright, I got the fixture made for shortening the subframe. took 2 hours and the unlimited supply closet at work. I will be narrowing the subframe itself next week. and I should have pics up by friday if everything goes smooth. I decided to try and avoid flares, but if I have to do them, we have some material at work that will be perfect. The next and most scary part of the project is the axles. Cutting and welding axles will take some creative thinking to keep them from snapping on the first launch.
  14. got the jig build, now I need to actually shorten the bitch. 2 hours for the fixture, probly about 2 for the shortening process. I will take pics of shortening the subframe for everyone.
  15. actually I would consider doing that. I will look into getting a windshield made for it if I widen it. 8" would not be that bad if I can keep the rigidity in the body.
