thanls for the help i will try rewiring my alt and choke and see what happens,if i cant solve the problem what kind of alternator and regulator do i need to buy because i want more than 35 amps with the original set up
are you saying to un hook the relay and run a new power source to the choke?do i still need to connect the yellow and white wires or are they for the choke?will doing this fix my guages or do i have two separate problems thanks!!
i have the red/white wire and the black/white wire jumped and it is chareging but when i hook up the yellow and white even with the switch of it clicks a relay on the passenger fender and the relay stays on all the time and gets hot so i had to unhook those.i have looked a several diagrams that show those to wires jumped is it possible that in 77 something was changed
my gas and temp gauges are not working right the temp hand goes to hot and the gas gauge moves to full.the problem started when i converted my 77 620 alternator to a internal regulated alt,but when i turn on all my accesories at the same time the gauges move back to were they should be, does any body have any ideas?could the alternator be wired wrong?
i have read lots of threads about the disk brake conv on here.my question is can i use any parts from my 79 620 parts truck to do the conversion and if i can will they work with the brackets you guys are using on here and how do i go about buying a set.
the truck is an 85 which came with the z24s engine and the hf38 rear axle.iwill ditch the auto idea if i can use the motor and manual trans but if it wont work. has anyone put a 720 bed on a 620 or swaped in the 720 rear axle on a 620. does anyone know the axle ratio for this truck?
thanks for the info.does anyone know which engine mounts i will need to use and will the starter work with the 720 trans since it bolts up at the top instead of the bottom thanks!
i recently bought a 720 with out an engine with an automatic trans.i have a 79 620 parts truck with a good motor and 4sp trans.would this be a direct fit in the 720?and does anybody know if i can use the automatic trans or if the clutch and brake pedals will work out of my 620 in the 720.any imput would be appreciated thanks!!
the datsun frame has some rust but could be fixed.im not sure on the toyota running gear but its an option. the disk brakes and the 5 lug pattern.thats the reason i was considering the swap any ideas
i know im about to open a can of worms here but here it is.my friend has a 84 toyota long bed thats been wrecked has a good frame.what i need to know is would it be possible to mount my 620 k/c on to this frame.does anyone know how to do it or know anyone that has tried this:confused:
thanks for all the suggestions i will keep them in mind when i pull the intake.right now i have to get it moving my clutch is shot.has anyone put a clutch in a 620 lately is there enough room to un bolt the trans and slide it back to put the clutch in or is it easier to pull the engine and do it???
