    I have it hooked up to a switchable soure which is ok and stays on when i turn the car on but i was wondering which of the three wires to tap into from the panel lights dimmer switch.

      I know what you mean. My car has started doing that in the last month. I think it is fuel pump related.

      I think some pressure issue in the fuel system .. mine starts right up most of the time with 2 pumps of the pedal. Try checking all those hoses from the tank to the carb maybe?

      yeah, I'll do that and see if there is a crack or something in the lines making it bleed back down.

    well, i took out my speedometer cable and gear,cleaned them and now they work.
