  1. Here is one of mine that I recently sold.. 71 2nd owner 64k Man I wish I hadn't sold that car...
  2. Ok, I spent the last few days with all my extra time reading through your build. Badass! Your build and what you have done is inspiring to say the least, can't wait to see whats next. Hopefully you will still have time with the baby around. I know I pretty much neglected my project once my kids were born. BUT, I am getting back on it. I am really impressed at how much sheet metal you have bravely cut out of your car and replaced with accuracy. Of course all the custom milled parts are amazing as well. I look forward to seeing this car in person someday. Good luck with balancing your situation and great job on the 510.
  3. well, it isn't finished due to lack of inspiration or love of 510's, nor is it a lack of understanding of how the car works and such. It is merely a problem of not being in the same state as my car for over 8yrs, and then married, children, 100yr old house to fix, money - no time, time - no money... you guys know how it is. Anyways, all that besides, I am working on finding a suitable spot for project and then already started a list of things that need to be done or re-done as the case may be. Go through engine - never driven since rebuild but been a lot of years. Should probably check it all out inside Re-Do front suspension finish rear crossmember and brakes rust repair in a couple locations gas tank clean and coat paint and interior can come later header/exhaust carbs misc. body pieces. Luckily, I was smart enough in my younger age to buy all new rubber for the car from nissan before it was discontinued. Once I get it into a shop, I can start to thoroughly go through the car. Until then it is all from memory. Will add more when I think of it..
  4. Hey everyone, I am somewhat new to ratsun, but have been a Datsun fanatic almost my whole life. I started my project 69 510 4dr back around 1989 when I was 16. Here I am 26 years later and still haven't finished it! Wow, I think this is the first time I actually added it all up. Anyways, it was my first car I bought it for $300 bucks and drove it for almost a year before blowing the head gasket. I thought I would just replace the head gasket and you know how one thing leads to another, pretty soon, I had the car stripped down and was prepping it for paint. I picked up an L18 and rebuilt it myself in my engines class in high school (back when they had them). So its a L18, bored .30 over, ported and polished, lightened flywheel, can't remember the specs on the cam, but I have had it running, just haven't had the car drivable since I finished the engine. I finally am going to have some time on my hands and the Canby show has inspired me to get back to work on the beast. I did lots of things when I was young and now look back and say, why did I do that... working on finding a new place that I can work on it since I just had to sell my house for my divorce... yuck! Anyways, lets see if my pics work.. ill have to dig back to find the old ones...

  10. Need to sell my 1971 All Original Datsun 510 4DR. I am the second owner and bought it from an old lady that just putted around town in it. It has the stock L16 and a B/W Auto Transmission. Everything works good and only has 65,000 miles on it. Very little rust mostly on the trunk lid that was exposed out of her carport. I have the original can of touch up paint that came with the car and also have the Datsun Warranty Card. This is a very sweet car and wish I didn't have to sell it. Asking $5200. Located in Oregon City. Contact John 917-685-1778 or pickett510@gmail.com or just post here. Can't seem to figure out how to add the picture to the post so here is a link Datsun 510
