  1. I hope you get my message about the H190 soon

  2. i've decided to sell off/part out the datsun b210 project. If anyone needs anything here, let me know.
  3. Cool car. I believe I saw the posts the previous owner made on this one on another site. I was curious how the mounts were done. I've got a 13b suspended in my b210 engine bay at the moment awaiting mounts to be fabricated.
  4. Got around to placing the 13b in the engine bay so I can work on fabbing up some mounts. I've already cut off the A14 engine mount horns. I found out that I'll need to cut and flip the b210 crossmember first as the 13b I'm using is front sump. The front sump at the moment is laying on top of the forward portion of the crossmember.
  5. My plan is to use the same type of cans but I had no idea I could go to sherwinn williams to get color matched paint for those push button spray cans. That's sweet. Thanks for the info!
  6. I enjoyed reading through this thread. Did you do much prep work in regards to the rust on the battery tray or did you paint right over it? Also, did you spray paint the engine bay or was it done with a 2 stage paint like from a spray gun? I'm currently addressing my rust issues in my b210's engine bay and have given it some ospho treatment.
  7. very nice work! looking forward to seeing this thing completed.
  8. The roof looks like it came out really good. Is that two new pieces welded in the floorboard? I have some POR sitting around and need to do something similar with my floorboards.
  9. Sorry for the pic size. I'm on my phone and decided to try image shack for image hosting. Might have to click on the link for bigger pics. The motor is a 13b with a Holley carb. I mean zx brakes, which are yet to be installed as I needed wheels to clear.
  10. Picked up some dirty slots! 14x7 +13 easily clears z brakes. Oh and this thing.. I ended up having valve train issues with the a14 so this will have to do. I think I should be able to get away with not having to upgrade the rear end and leave the h150 and see how it goes. If anyone needs a14 engine/trans stuff I should be parting that out soon.
  11. found this thread from craigslist. good luck with the sale. If I didn't already have enough project cars I'd get this, especially since I have a s110 h190 for it.
  12. i'm thinking of just snagging the a15 head from a 79 210 that i've been pulling parts off of instead of having to do machine work on the a14 head. I do have a few concerns with this though, if anyone can answer them: 1. Will the a15 head bolt up to the 76 a14 block and manifolds without issue? 2.. the 79 210 apparently is a low power version with about 67hp in automatic trim. 3. Will this change the hp rating of my 80 hp a14? I'm thinking that it won't since hopefully the hp difference is due to the piston shape and not due to the head?
  13. I installed the helicoil and replacement pushrods and the 2nd and 7th valve are not acting right. they're not coming back up all the way which allows the pushrod to come back loose as well as bend them. I haven't taken off the head to verify this but that's just a guess.
  14. I verified it is a blind hole so I won't be worried about shavings. I picked up an 8x1.25 helicoil kit and am waiting to find replacement rods before I beginning drilling. I know of an a15 I can pull the pushrods out of at the junkyard this week. Thanks for the tip about the threadsert. I don't think I'll be too concerned if the helicoil comes out in the future when disassembling.
