  1. I really hate to have to sell my Datsun but I'm in need to. This car has been running awesome since I got it. This past month and half I have been driving it to work and back with absolutely no issues(from Manteca to Tracy). All the electronics(lights..CD player..amp) Also most of the interior is in the car, its missing the front door panels. The headliner as you can imagine isn't the greatest but what 1972 Datsuns is? haha I have the original 510 seats but they are in terrible shape so I recently bought matching 89 Prelude rears. The car has its normal flaws..some small surface rust and dents. Most of the dents on the rear of the car and a small one on the driver side front fender. Other then the the body is straight. I'm looking to get $3500 or BEST OFFER for this solid running Datsun 510. You can get a hold of me via email or better texting me a 209-679-009five. Im located in Manteca, CA. The Datsun has: L20B 2.0 280zx 5 Speed- NOT dogleg Lightened Flywheel 280zx Gear Reduction Starter Relocated Alternator 1969 Front Grill 1969 front apron/front turn signals Limited Slip Differential Front and Rear Sway bars 14"280zx Non-Turbo wheels with newer tires 1989 Honda Prelude seats European Taillight lenses Unknown Header Mallory Ignition Electric Fan
  2. What should the throttle return look like?
  3. Alright I wont worry to much about the leak then. Its not pouring out just spots here and there. That bracket is for the alternator. I believe it was relocated from the passanger side of the block. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  4. ok here is a few pictures of the leaks. I looks like most of the leaking is coming from the transmission like around the drain plus and speedometer cable. The oil pan doesnt look right still though. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  5. Yeah looks like a throttle return spring. Was on the car when I got it.
  6. Just pulled the valve cover off so I can replace the gasket and was surprised how clean it looks under the VC. Im not sure if I can figure out if thats an aftermarket cam or not...I see no markings anywhere. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  7. I'm going to eventually do the KA swap but for now I've been driving my Datsun to work and back for the time being. It looks like the previous owner at one point just RTV the whole oil pan instead of using a gasket. :/ So I'm getting a weird leak.
  8. I have a 72 510 with L20B.....I'm not 100% sure on what year and vehicle to ask for parts like gaskets and such. I need an oil pan and valve cover gasket. Thanks sirs
  9. this is for a 72 510 I just bought a GM fuel gauge. I need help with wiring it up behind the cluster......which wire is the sender wire, I know its yellow but does is it the one plugged to the back of the cluster? Also need to know which wire is the power wire(assuming red?). Which wire can I tap into on the harness so that the light on the gauge come on when I turn my lights on?
  10. What about the locations to bolt the hoist to?
  11. Haha I like that angle of your dangle. I think I'll just end up pulling it all as one unit.
  12. I'm looking to pull my L20b out of the 510 and I'm curious what's the best way to do it? Is it easier to pull it out with the transmission(no using the trans) with it at the same time? Thanks comrades I'm on my phone so I dont see the search option. :(
  13. Read my mind friend.....I'd love to run some gold or black TE37s
