  1. filler cap is missing, well in my shed. have gotten rid of the keys as i have installed alarm with central locking, remote boot opening, and keyless engine start, the only thing i havnt been able to work out is a way to open the filler cap without a key, working on some sort of cable mechanism. the guage cluster is relocated to the centre to make rom for the 6x9 speakers either side of it,
  2. heres a few updated photos of my 411, let me know what you think. currently up for sale in New Zealand if anyone is interested.
  3. still hasn't fixed it, just got it back up and running and drove it back into town, brakes are still seizing after being used a few times.
  4. found a way to make it work, for now, pulled it all apart went over everything to see any wear points, nothing that i could find, adjusted the pivot ball slightly. put it back together, same problem. but after hours of messing around i found that if the bell housing was spaced 5mm from the engine it worked perfectly, if this can help anyone figure out what else it could be please let me know!!!!!
  5. I just got Patricia'd, got my hopes up there for a min but thout i'd do a check, ratshit!!
  6. the slave was replaced, but when it didn't work i put the old one back on with new internals and same problem, there is virtually no travel in the pedal before resistance and the push rod from the slave is almost extended to the point of no return. the release bearing collar isn't the original but is out of an identical model, i havn't had the time to pull off the trans and check it all over yet but i'm guessing that's my only option left at the mo, is there a possibility the splines on the input shaft/clutch plate have stuck causing the plate to be constantly pushed against the fly wheel?
  7. it's the original clutch with a release bearing from another 411 because i lost the original. i've bled the system through countless times with the same result, i did have a hell of a struggle getting the trans to bolt up to the engine, i'm going to guess this could be related. are there any other possibilities that could cause the same problem bent input shaft...?
  8. this is strange, got the old girl back together, engine, trans, diff cleaned up checked and put back in. had the engine running for a while and just recently put the clutch slave cylinder and shifter on, bled the cylinder and adjusted the arm. But, when it's running, even with the clutch to the floor i can't get it into gear, as if the clutch is still up. i can put it in gear with the engine off. with the clutch in it will turn over, start and run. as long as my foot is on the brake the car will stay still. releasing the clutch causes it to stall or it can be driven only in the gear i put it in to start with. any ideas on what would cause this would be great thanks guys. and girls.
  9. yea that'd b nice if i was in AU or OZ, turns out im actually in NZ tho,
  10. as long as theres no sharp protruding objects that could impale cyclists ur sweet, still got the bumpers if needed tho, the grass is a good look aye was the same with the box and engine in 2, watching the drive shaft do it's thing while cruizing dwn the road,
  11. I need one of these!!!!! sit perfectly next to my 411, i don't think they have them over here tho, not yet, what's the cost of shipping to new zealand?
  12. most of, front seats have been replaced, dash has been rebuilt, carpet has been removed. but hood lining, doors, rear seat, steering wheel.... all original.
  13. good question, something fat, deep polished/stainless lip, nothing chrome don't want to take from the shape of the car, iv got some ROH wide 5 spokes that look almost perfect, but won't fit due to wheel bearing hub. let me know what your thoughts are, give me a few ideas.
  14. just read Thomas' lil guide to posting pics and had to try, heres a few pics i took a while ago, theres been a few improvements since these were taken, but she's been locked in a shed out of town since then :( notice the morris minor indicator lenses, originals were run over during dissasembly guards beaten and filed to accomidate larger wheels, ( wheels in photo only used while painting) hilman avenger front seats, near perfect match to replace broken front bench seat while being recovered. re fabricated dash, 6x9 speakers hidden either side of the cluster, lights/wiper controlls mounted underneath in the centre and ignition barrel replaced with toggle switch and push button start, hidden on drivers right hand side. wil post new and improved images when i eventually drive her out of the shed!
