  1. thanks guys! the cap is the issue. i got the car running on two cylinders now haha. i have a new cap on order along with new plugs, wires, and button. thanks again!
  2. i have a L16 in my 620 first of all. The truck runs great for a year, no issues. I was driving home from work on night and there was a terrible storm. Water was sitting on the road, causing the truck to bog down. The engine seemed to be fine. When I tried to start the car later that night, I would just get pops from the carb. I thought it was just wet so i let it sit overnight. The next day the truck started right up, I was a little rough at low RPMs but seems ok, idled fine. I turned it off and thought everything was fine. I came back later to start the truck and nothing...Just pops and white smoke coming from the carb again. I can see on side of the carb is injecting gas, but i can't see and from the other side. Any ideas?
  3. Thanks man. You are a lot of help. I will probably have more questions for you eventually. I assume this is a worth while project? I don't want to do it if the gains are minimal, the 4 speed works perfectly.
  4. which clutch do i use? the L28 or the L16? Also trying to source a '79 drive shaft if anyone has any ideas on that.
  5. i may have to get with you if i head to augusta one day. id love to see the car.

  6. Any heads up on the shifter hole? Is there going to be much of a difference?
  7. Oops I didn't ask the right question. I meant will the l28 tranny bolt to my l16. But my friend does have an L28 with tranny I could get. I was thinking about the swap. I saw a build on here. Im not sure on how much fabrication was involved though. The motor is in my truck now.
  8. Let me know what i will need if it will work. i tried searching. thanks!
  9. yea its sad, most you guys are on the west coast.
  10. I bought this from a guy that did an SR20 swap. I saw the car driving just before it was pulled. Includes : Engine, transmission, wiring harness, ecu. I bought a brand new exhaust manifold from eBay which is included. ($70) I can throw in a brand new inline fuel pump, filter, and oil filter for the right price ;) $650 OBO 864 344 0216 for a quick response. I work nights so If I don't answer, I'm sleeping and I'll respond when I wake up.
  11. Will it work? Is a custom driveshaft needed for it to drop in the 620?
  12. Loving the battery setup. Any more pics of the install for that and the cell?
