Well the reason I asked was maybe being there wasn't any tags or badges for a VIN possibly they where wore off over time the only badge that is inside the truck is the motor size I did do my research if didn't I wudnt be asking ... I'm also not sure what numbers an letter start for a VIN on a Japan trucks next time don't be a wise ass thanks

I was wondering how to fin the VIN for a 74 Datsun pickup since it's not normally where it would be an help in that ? I'd like to get plates for it. One other question is the rubber hose that connects to the heater core inside the truck can that L shaped hose be picked up any parts store ? Thanks

To bad ur rather far away from me cause I have a 620 long bed sitting around the yard which I only use to find parts off of other then that it kinda useless to me since I like the short bed 620s it's little newer then my 74 it might be a 76

It's been while I out of the loop what's in an out lately with what people have been doing with there trucks I thought having everything on the one side would make it easy for me far as a swap... I love the old motor L18 to bad they don't have the modern motors of today that crank out nice power... Over I'd love to have a nice sleeper 620 with the tuner aspec to it that's why I was asking over all

I was wondering with theses others swaps people have been doing mostly with there Nissan motors from the 240s etc I was wondering if there was a motor out there with the intake and manifold on the same side of the motor. As of them moment I have a L18 I do have 2 L20 motors on hand an what kinda head where u talking about? Which truck does that come to?

Here's a question has anyone rerouted there exhaust when u did a motor swap?. Normally the 620s hangs on the driver side being the gas tank is on the right side under the box. Which is the best motor swap to keep everything original then having to really Modifying the exhaust at all thanks. Trying to have some options to tune in on the direction I like my 620 to go

I had it custom made to what I wanted I also had the 620 added into it being I wanted to be different from the rest of the guys doing disk brake upgrades ... I looked at what was out there an went with design

Not sure they must have made them they had the roll bar in the box and they had the grill bar along with that.... Which I trashed the roll bar I kept the grill bar with it ... I was going to do some more research about the baja Datsun haven't had the time to look

I'm working on the ball an joint set up with disc brakes I yanked them off a 83 Nissan spindle and all I had the 620 water jetted in

well thank u for the welcome back i was gonna try and find my old post so i my save my old pics of my truck thats why i asked.... if i cant remember what my posts where about being that i havent logged on in 9 months nothing shows up etc.... i hope to have some pixs posts this summer ..... my random question i had with suspenion was like alot take the f100 and strip it all down and place the crown vic under the front i was wondering if anyone did a swap like that etc
