Alright then I'll do some more research and try to make up a parts list, the only thing I'm worried about is the fuel tank issue I've heard from a couple different sources I might have to get a new tank as well but we shall see what I find. Would it be a good idea to just get an entire engine/tranny combo? The entire truck only has 110k on it but I feel as if the old transmission would lack the performance needed for the newer more powerful engine.

I think I'm just going to scrap the DOHC idea and keep it SOHC like you said with the HardBody KA truck engines, but throw in a turbo :cool:

Hey guys I'm new to these forums but I was curious if anybody has a detailed write up on swapping in a KA24DE engine compared to the stock Z24 in my 1986 Nissan 720? I understand some fabrication will be needed but I havn't a clue of where to start ! Any and all help would be greatly appreciated, thank you all. Just message me email's, pictures, directions, etc.
