I got a loan! haha I want to go all out now! I'm still trying to figure out how to swap 280 struts and brakes in. Can't seem to find and real guides on how to swap a sr20 in either. im going to buy some rims and I want to lower it first cus I figure if im going to do a engine swap i might as well get the suspension upgraded first. its just i dont what to upgrade first. (coil overs, bushings, adjustable tie rods, C&C cross control arms ...) :D

is a money pit.:eek: I got it stuck in fourth. ...:rolleyes: Crap. Got a free tranny from a buddy of mine. that ones locked up as well.. Another fellow Dime Owner has the 4 speed from his and is selling it to me for 50 bucks. Seriously can not afford for another little breakdown. I'm moving and going to have to commute to work. My car really doesn't need much work. all I need are reliable parts! The To Do List: New Fuel Pump Re-Seal the rear main and oil pan gasket New Starter and Alternator New Battery or I could save up some money. And get a freaking engine swap Seriously thinking about a KA24 or SR20DE swap. :D:D:D:D the whole point of this thread is to get your horror stories so I dont sell my dime.

I'm going to swap my: 510 Master Cylinder to a 280zx Cylinder and throw some 280zx Struts in. :D

Daily Driver. It never sits there. :D the sure do hate me, its kinda loud straight 2inch 1/4 piping from hooker header. :D

I want to run a stock 280zx master cylinder, brake rotors and calipers for now. but might go with something bigger. Right now all I have is a L16 rebuilt to factory specs. I'm thinking of going two ways, SR20DE non-turbo or KA24DE. I'm going to need to replace my brakes when I get more power anyways so I might as well do it right the first time.

... I was wondering if a 240sx or 280z Master Cylinder would work in my dime? I'm thinking of getting a new one. And might be looking to do a 280 front and rear break conversion. My master cylinder is taking a dump. I need new brakes anyone have any suggestion?

I must be a noob. What exactly is a dizzy?

Does anyone know of any upgrades when it comes to ignition? Does anyone here run anything cool? I'm looking for something great and reliable. Please help!

So I want to upgrade my brakes and it seems like the 280zx brakes and struts are the way to go. I was kinda wanting to throw some 300zx brakes :D . Also I heard you can put a 200sx Brake Booster with a 240sx Master Cylinder. Just wanted to know if anyone else has heard of it. Just thought I'd ask everyone here first. :)

What me and me uncle have done. Rear brakes and suspension has been serviced -Brake shoes and wheel cylinders replaced Front suspension is crap -Brake pads -Ball joints haha were barely there -Tie rods coming in soon -Bushings replaced (control arm, sway bar, etc...) So the problem is this we drive along and everything is fine. no problem with stoping or anything it does pull to one side a little bit when we brake but the car does not shake until we hit about 40-50mph the car begins to slightly shake the steering is fine and nothing really violent or harsh happens just a little shake now that we changed the ball joints out we noticed the tie rods were shot and that my tires are crappy one of the rims might be bent haha I dont have all four rims I have two sets of rims and I'm getting kinda mad cus I cant find a set anywhere I'll get some pictures up someday! so yeah I havent checked out the driveline yet but it has no problem shifting and also the flywheel makes a funny noise when I start it up sometimes :D I LOVE MY DIME! EVEN IF ITS A MONEY PIT! I'm about ready to toss my rims away they look kinda similar to the Z's five spoke rims. I just want to run some steel rims for now haha if anyone wants to trade I'm MORE THAN WILLING! I'll have pictures up in couple days! AHHHHH!

I was just curious to what everyones running and there future plans are or current plans are. I was originally going to just keep my dime stock but now I kinda want to throw in a CA18DET 5-speed and a 2-way kaaz lsd and make it a daily driver :D I had a 89 240sx did a engine swap from ka24 to KA24DE. And from there on was kinda just drawn into the whole Nissan obsession. Now I'm crazy about my dime! :D so please give me some ideas! I'd love to hear what you guys have in those DIMES!

I'm missing a bracket for the parking brake. its right next to the wheel cylinder does anyone know where I can find that part? maybe pull it off a datsun truck?
