  1. I was under the understanding that his kit was for the 280zx strut and did not fit under the 13 inch wheel. I cannot find those details on his site at all. But thanks for the input.
  2. I or should say we at the shop have been kicking around the idea of building a kit for the stock 510 strut. Some of the issues are the fact that the 510 hub uses a very narrow bolt pattern and won't attach well to any normal vented rotor. We can use custom hardware but the cost goes way up as well as the delay on replacement parts. So I am working with my machine shop to develop a kit that bolts directly to the stock 510 hub and uses our large vented rotor. The main issue is the size of the wheel you have to run. You need to run a MINIMUM of a 14 inch wheel. I know this will be a damper for some of you but this is due to the larger rotor and caliper and it just won't clear the smaller 13 inch wheel. What I am asking is pretty clear. Is there a market here for this? I have asked numerous people and once the wheel size issue comes up most no longer want the Wilwood kit. Some still do. There is a lot of manufacturing that has to be done as well as testing so right now I am just testing the waters to see if I can get an accurate head count on this topic. Thanks for your help in this matter.
  3. The 510 strut uses a 90mm bolt pattern and a 9 inch rotor that is non vented. Nobody makes a 90mm pattern that is larger than 9 inches and vented. I tried to, but they never got back to me so I just made my own. Thanks for the update though. I am working on this. I am working on this as well. Trying to find something. Wilwood does not make a rear caliper that uses a e-brake system. But there are work arounds. Again it is a size issue. Working on this as well.
  4. I want to thank everyone for coming out and making this a great meet and swap. To the winners, you earned it. Votes were by the users and not by us. To Geno, thanks for all the food man, as always you were working more on the grill then having fun. And to all those who came out, you were respectful, courtious, and over all a great group. We had no issues and nobody got hurt. So wanna do this again soon?
  5. We will be posing up pictures later and you can check out our facebook page to see the trophys we got.
  6. Also this will be a semi car show. The spectators will vote on their favorite car. Thanks.
  7. Well that makes two kits then. I need one for my personal wagon. We need to have some more machining on the brackets but we should have a kit available very soon.
  8. So here are just a few of the pics I promised you guys. So after a day of work we decided to just mess around and came upon something. Who is interested in a wilwood kit on a wagon?
  9. Thanks for the kind words. Yes we have done a bit of research and are very proud of what we have in this kit. Just wait till this weekend when we post up pictures.
  10. The rotors are actually a stock rotor from other Nissan cars, we will give part numbers to customers. And yes we can get cross drilled rotors as well. After talking to Wilwood and others, the caliper we use is the biggest one they have for a 4 pod system. The pad fits nicely on the rotor and really clamps down, you don't need a crazy large rotor if you cannot support the tire to stop it. Once you exceed the limits of adhesion with the tire you begin to slide and no longer able to stop you vehicle, so a larger rotor is unnecessary. Also with their kit you need to run a rather large wheel to support the size of that rotor. We tried to keep it simple and small to allow for only a 1 inch increase in wheel size to 14 inches. This way you don't have to buy new wheels. This is just a first run of the kit, more options and different parts will become available as time goes on. We are always open to suggestions as well.
  11. Well I thank you for your honesty and help. We are just here to serve this great community of people and build better and safer cars.
  12. Very good catch. I apologize for the inconvenience, I had the wrong amounts down. I have since corrected them. I fat fingered them. LOL.
  13. I have one in our mock-up phase. We will have pictures of them on a car soon. The caliper in the picture is NOT the caliper we are using. Ours are much more shinny and slightly different looking. These parts are just now all coming together. And we are running Wilwood pads.
  14. The guys at 5nDimeGarage would like to thank the Datsun community for the opportunity to serve you. We have been working hard to make more and more parts for these fine automobiles. I want to show you what we have been doing!!! Some of you might know and have seen some of the parts but some have not. We are proud to announce a FULL Wilwood kit. These are 100% made in America. The lines are stainless with a smoked charcoal coating to meet DOT standards. The front bracket is steel and the rear is aluminum. The front caliper is a 4 piston system and the rear is a 2 piston system. These both use the newest Wilwood technology. The rotors are 11.1 inch in the front and 10 inch in the rear. You will need to run 14 inch or larger rims and you will not be able to retain the parking break. These are also for a 280zx strut kit for the front. We will fully release the kit at our swap meet and have kits on hand!!! Prices are introductory and lowered for this special announcement: Full kit - $1200 $1500 installed Front kit - $700 $850 installed Rear kit - $500 $650 installed Here are some pictures. More pictures to come soon. We just got the front brackets back from the machine shop after initial test fit and we decided to post this up. Thanks again.
