  1. Dash lights do not work, so I'll check that switch. Thank you.
  2. Problem with my 71 1200, can someone give me some ideas were to start? What should I be thinking, were should I be looking? Thanks!
  3. There is a Peugeot 505 at the Sacramento Pick and Pull off of Stockton Blvd. that I need some parts off of (some urgently). I'll pay someone $50 to go out there and pull the parts for me and send them up to Seattle (I'll pay for shipping and packing to of course). This is kind of urgent so please respond quickly the money is waiting! Thank you! John
  4. Did you do the rear end swap yourself? Did you have to narrow it? You have a great car too, good luck on the sale it looks to be worth every penny that you're asking for it. Remember 1200's are quite rare, even compared to roadsters, let alone 510's, get your paper! John
  5. I'm digging the valve cover, and some of those suspension goodies. Ooh la la!
  6. My sedan scoots nicely with a stock a14, I can't imagine what it would drive like with this in it. And yeah, I'm gonna need a new rear end too. I need wheels. Anybody in the Seattle area want to trade wheels (13's), a rear end (what ever won't brake, lsd?), or carbs for tree work (experienced and insured of course)?
  7. I don't think it's 1.9, it's bored .80 over so what ever that makes it. Dual side drafts mean brake booster delete or relocation so I'm leery of jumping into that ($$$). I love the sound of bike carbs, and want to go that way, but I need to learn more about the motor before I charge in with those. These guys have me seriously thinking Mukuni http://www.v-perform...ml#mikuni_carbs and are where the smart money is unless I can find something used and workable here. John
  8. Is it streetable without race gas? What kind of power do you think it puts out? What would you do with it? I haven't put it in my 1200 because I'm sorting every other possible issue, but now that the suspension improved I'm thinking of doing the engine bay and putting this in. It doesn't have carbs so? Bike carbs? Single side draft? Su's? Mukuni's? Webbers? Anybody have something for sale? I have a redline dual carb manifold. I'd love some input. Ignition Carbs sold before I got the motor, it seem like they were too much for the motor however. The engine has ARP head and main studs along with ARP rod bolts. The engine was balanced. Installed a tilton 10 lb aluminum flywheel with a centerforce clutch I guess it has about 17K since the build. Here's a video of it running: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=94r3CxFfOls&feature=player_detailpage A picture: Some bike carb porn: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_P75EN4dvgE&feature=player_detailpage
  9. Thanks GG, I've been looking at those for a long time, and that little nudge was enough to get me to pull the trigger. The Koni's are on the way now, I have a set of new KYB's ready to put on the back, now I have to look at the the rest of the suspension. What is your opinion of poly bushings? I want to overhaul the suspension, I'm thinking of dropping it (the front) and having it media blasted and powder coated and replacing the bushings in the process. I don't want to get too tricky, but if poly is worth it I'll spend the extra money. John
  10. Hey fella's I just got off the pot and ordered some coilovers (175 lb springs Ground Controll weld kit) for my sedan, it's a street car (not DD), and eventually I'd like to auto cross and maybe race. The current suspention is shot so I want to replace my front inserts and I'd like some recommendations. Techno Toy recommended I go with Tokico Illumina BZ 1086's, I know classic garage has some stock Koni's to for a reasonable price, what do you guys like and where do I get them? Thanks, John
