  1. I drive by a house every day that has about 5 of these in their drive way in different stages of condition. I think they still DD the one, which is something when living in the salt belt!! I always thought they were cool looking cars! GLWS
  2. bump for some interior pics and ones of the rust issues. thanks Grant
  3. WHOA! none of mine where that bad! lol. . I'm thinking I had a bad/broken bearing or two. I could see most of the caps after I cut them out and didn't notice much (or any) wear
  4. decided last minute to change all the u-joints just to make sure, and it worked! I can't believe how much noise the bad one made! and still couldn't tell you which one it was, I ended up having to cut the last two out because I could get them to press out. thanks again for all the help/suggestion the truck is driving like a newly lowered bouncy dream! lol on to suspension now!
  5. sorry guys I couldn't hear you over the interior. . glws
  6. well I replaced one u joint, a few friends stopped by the shop yesterday and said one other has play in it also. I'm ordering up another today so I would imagine I should know by friday if it fixes the problem.
  7. k guys, I get the new u joint tomorrow, will put it in and keep you posted
  8. thanks for the input guys, for got to mention its speed related too (meaning faster I got the faster the clicking gets) - my thoughts would be, leafs springs wouldn't be speed related - nope never pulled the drums off till now - looking over the u joints again, seems like no play, nothing broken argh
  9. My 620 has started a clicking sound from what sounds like the rear of the truck. This clicking only happens when under load and only when going forward. if I feather the throttle starting off/or when sustaining speed/or lift off throttle it doesn't do it, and if I start in second and punch it, it sounds louder. what have I done to the truck recently: I put 3" lowering blocks in it, put a 1" spacer under carrier bearing. Also my wife was making fun of my truck the last time I drove it so I did a wee little brake stand, and after reading this thread http://community.ratsun.net/topic/20939-differential-is-stuck-any-ideas/page__p__294630__hl__%2B620+%2Bdiff__fromsearch__1?do=findComment&comment=294630 I thought maybe I blew my rear end, so I pulled it apart, nothing appeared to be damaged so I brought it to my father inlaw (bigger gear head) his diagnosis was that it wasn't the problem. other minor problems with truck; about 1mm play in rear universal (play seemed gone when I greased it, sound continued, so have new one on order), carrier bearing rubber has a small tear in it (on order). So any suggestions? am I missing something in the diff? Next I'm gonna look at the axle/wheel bearings, but I am lost!
  10. I thought I should add to this, I figured out the problem. . WAY overfilled by PO. . its all good now thanks again for all the help!
  11. is your's a reverse bleeder?
  12. nice to see any other person in ontario! we should all do a meet sometime!! I'm away from my shop for the long weekend, if no one else posts up a pic I'll throw mine up on the hoist and post up a pic when I get back
  13. I ordrered two front fenders from them, they told me the reason one was $50 and the other was $130 was because they only had two left of the left of the $130 one, and all those parts were not being re ordered. so when they are gone, they are gone
  14. ah. . I was going by the pics, and they show one. sorry. could try something I have always wanted to do, get a set of hyabusa ITB's (kijiji T.O. had a set for $300ish) and fab them up, seen a few done that way on other forums. Doesn't seem terribly hard. If I don't swap engine this winter that maybe something I look into
