  1. Kelmo forgot to mention that his car was selected as the "Diamond in the Rough". His rebuilt engine performed really well and his engine compartment was immaculate. He told the crowd that he would paint one door for next year's show.
  2. dreamer2: The Holiday Inn has a special rate if you call them directly and tell them to use the DATSUN special rate ($79/night). I'm staying there this year. There are also two Motel 6's in town. I stayed at one last year and, IIRC, the price is about $59/night.
  3. I don't know that I can help since my SR20de swap isn't running yet but I did get Wiring Specialties to modify my harness. I have a different ECU than you have (I'll have to pull it out tonight to compare). I have an SR20de S13. Do you have an S13, 14 or 15? Was the engine running in the car you removed it from? Shannon
  4. I think caravaning is the best part of the weekend. I don't care about breaking any speed records. I may be willing to part with my 68 2000. Let me know if he's interested. Buddy and I are going to cars and coffee tomorrow morning. Maybe we'll see you there. Shannon
  5. Here's a photo of me and my son at William's last year.
  6. Kelmo: I haven't talked to you since we caravaned to this last year. I'm signed up and have my reservations at the Holiday Inn. My SR20 Roadster won't be ready but I'll be driving my 69 2000 again (I fixed the antifreeze leak since our trip last year). I sold my 68 1600 to Buddy, a friend of mine here in Albuquerque, and he plans to go too. Buddy and I talked to Geoff, the President of the Albuquerque Z cars and had him put the link on their website. I'm a member (they tolerate roadsters), so I can put any caravan info on the site to see if any Z-cars will join up. There's also a guy with a 67 1/2 2000 from Farmington who will try and catch up with us in Gallup, NM. Last year, some of the Colorado contingent got snowed in but had planned to meet at Sadie's for lunch and roll from there. Are you planning to leave 8-9 am on Friday, October 5? I don't mind leaving that early but the Colorado group might want to leave later (if there is one). Anyone from Colorado want to follow the I-25 South to I-40 route? Shannon
  7. Kelly: Sorry I missed your post earlier. I enjoyed having another datsun to follow out . . . just in case. Doing 55-65 mph on the way out got me about 30 mpg in my car. On the way back, doing about 80, I only averaged about 26. Maybe next year my SR20 swap in my 68 roadster will be ready. Shannon
  8. Kelly: Since the gathering at Sadies is out, I 'll hook up with you and leave earlier from ABQ. Shannon
  9. I'll be driving from ABQ on Friday with my red 69 2000 roadster. I'll try and join up with the CO crowd at Sadies between 12 and 1. If anyone has car trouble near ABQ, I have lifts and tools. sfdaugherty01@msn.com Shannon
