  1. Im a true ford man, BB or SB car or truck I would rather have a sister in a whore house then a brother that drives a chevy, but when I did my 350 swap I had a 302 and a 350 next to each other and the ford was longer but not as wide as the chevy I wanted to keep the stock heater and not cut the firewall so I went with the chevy and a manual tranny, how ever I did have to run coolant lines to the back (under the bed) to a VW Rabbit radiator, and no matter what you will have to build or change headers. Every one does thing diffrent, think things through and dont get upset if it dont work the first or second time, good luck
  2. what engine do you have in your truck?

  3. that is truly a ABF (african butt fu&%) or a troglodyte untill I seen that I thought I was a hacker. you have to think of the time someone put in to that its quite a pice.... of craftsman ship .
  4. My 521 wheel was cracked but I had a sweet Petri Wheel for a VW, I took and turned the 521 hub down to about an 1 1/2" and bored the center out of the Petri wheel to fit pressed it in and welded it, as long as you dont think about it, it works well. it also helps to have a lathe and TIG welder.
  5. [/img]cut my 9" ford housing down myself, had the axles shortened a Duchmen motor sports, in Portland OR for about 150.00. parts, gears and lockers are cheap. plus you will never break one.
  6. Not a Ford, the axle tube looks to be welded and the cover on a ford is round with no indents.
  7. I didn't get you in trouble did I..?

    Can of worms

Dont you hate it when a small job turns out to be a large one!!! like a valve cover gasket turns into a rebuild, or brakes turn out to be a lowering job. Last week a had a radiator hose leaking because my radiator is under the bed I pulled the bed off... after looking at the rear suspension and being tired of bouncing off the frame all the time, I thought I should notch the frame a little, but why stop there the springs are so stiff that it was a rough ride, so why not cut the rear springs out and the pads off the axle, and install some home made ladder bars and go coil over's in the back. I will try and put some pic's up as I go. Just another case of small job gone big
  10. Cool headers you make them? I made mine for my V8 521 they are high fender-well exit would have rather ran them like yours but I did not think I could make them fit. So how is that thing to drive? cant keep mine on the road.:D:D
  11. I had a yota rear end for mine too wide.
  12. Put a heater fan motor in that a member gave me its nice to be warm again, took the car cover off my camaro to find the winter was hard on it even under a cover, the interior was green and fuzzy and the paint some spots that had little bubbles on it looked like a rash, so sad. car covers dont always do good!!
