Oops I read that end part again I clearly see L not F. I must have been. Tried of reading all the info that day.

I read that one and someone at the end said at the end in red letters don't put F to a switch 12v source it will fry the IR.

I have a question about this upgrade. I bought a a 91 or 94 Saturn SL alternator and bolted it up to the car, bought the pigtail from Napa that was suggested from the other threads. But it was never clear if I used the L or F cables. I know the S goes to battery +. Someone clear this up for me please.

Bought a used MSD 6AL with SS coil. Car cranks up first try every time solid upgrade. Thanks everyone!

Can I put msd on my 521? Or does it need to have electronic distributor?

Question was is this the original alternator for the 521. The wiring is a ratsnest and nothing is connected to the external alternator relay. Only reason I am questioning alternator.

Great once i pick up the transmission i will get a better idea of what im getting into. Thanks for everyones response very hopeful indeed!! Ill keep you posted if i run into problems.

Just so i understand correctly. Installing a 5 speed into my 521 only requires shorting the driveshaft and drilling new holes in the transmount? Do i need the tansmount from Z tranny or mod the 521 transmission? The throwout bearing needs to be from the matching clutch and flywheel? I assume any Z 5 speed directly bolts onto the L16?

Btw can you use the 510 windshield they seems to be almost identical with other parts?

Yeah I seen on eBay one comes from Oregon but wanted somewhere I can drive to and pick one up. Just thought someone here would know of a place.

Does anyone know where I could get a 521 front windshield in SoCal?
