My friend Jay was interested in that car since it's close to him but I informed him the color is not original. Not that it matters but since he is a collector/Datsun enthusiast he could justify the price. Very clean car would have looked good with some stripes to offset the black the hide all the fine lines.
I see this on my way everytime I deliver parts to a body shop but the next shop over has it parked in the dirt lot, and so happens I delivered to the very place this Roadster was at and I had to ask about looking at it. Took a peak under the hood it's part ways disassembled nothing too bad that can't be done in a day or two. So far all I know it's for sale but the guy doesn't know who's it is or how much but I left my name and number hoping to get a call.
Then yesterday I saw this 620 King Cab parked at a Hubbards parking lot.
I don't know that guy but it looks like he invested some cash and definitely some time into it. Bought it as a non runner, cleaned it up, put a new Weber on it etc. I don't consider that a "flip". I like to see guys save a car from rusting away and get em back on the road. I doubt he'll get his asking price but good for him if he does. Maybe he'll use the money to save another one.
