  1. Is your A14 engine still available?

  2. Started putting the new suspension on today. So far so good. Talked to a guy about paint today, too. I'm thinking metallic candy apple red, but I'm torn. Thoughts?
  3. Well, better late than never on the reply, right? Car still isn't finished, but it's a lot further along now. I got sidetracked because I got admitted to the UCLA school of film, and man oh man has that devoured my life :P. But that said, as I'm entering my final year at school, I finally have some time to work on it a little. I'll get really into it starting in August, but for the time being, it's a day here and there when I have the time. The body is totally finished and ready for paint, and I found a place to get a windshield, installed, for $177! I'm waiting on that until after paint, though. I've removed 100% of the interior at this point, just need to get more time to put her together (and more money for paint :P)
  4. I will, but I was just curious what others have paid :)
  5. Bizarre, but cool. I'll just take it in someplace. Think they'll let me bring my own muffler and cat? Speaking of which, I wonder if I should get a new cat. Muffler for sure, because it's got rust holes, but the cat looks fine (just ugly, but hell, it's underneath anyway :P). About how much should I expect to pay? Thanks! Jason
  6. So I've decided I'm not going to put the old, rusty-ass exhaust pipe back into my 210. However, I'm going to stick to the 1.5" pipe, as it seems that's the best way to ensure fuel economy is maintained (according to some threads here). Question is, can you just assemble your own? I notice that several of the local parts places have exhaust chunks, but is it a good idea to do that? Last thing i wanna do is screw it up :). Thanks! Jason
  7. Thank you, I appreciate the link! I'll be using new devices almost entirely! Found H6054 shaped headlight housings that take brand new, modern style HID bulbs (hooray!) pretty cheap on ebay (already have them, they're nice!), and I'm planning to pop brand new LED's into every other orifice that spews light :)
  8. I looked at the kit, and I'm pretty sure it's not "hundreds of feet" of wire. It's also labeled neatly every 5 inches, uses modern relays and fuses, and has every last wire clearly labeled. I'd probably agree entirely IF the car weren't gutted, but it is :)
  9. Awesome, beautiful car! Mine is gutted now too, so it should be relatively easy in terms of access, I just wanted to be sure it would work. I think what I might do with the old relay box is replace it with a padded container I can put a store of fluids into for topping off :)
  10. Not likely to find another 210 :). I'll definitely complete the other kit; I've already ripped out the entire old harness because it was fried, so there's no other option :). Besides, the car is gutted, laying wire will be easy, at least in terms of access :)
  11. I should have been more specific. I meant with regards to the fuel gauge. Everything I've read about the Equus (which I really like, actually) says they don't work right with the datsun sending unit.
  12. Anyone know of a specific brand/model that is known to work with the old Datsun? :)
  13. So leaner vs richer, what's the net effect in fuel economy/power on an A14 or A15? :)
  14. Thanks! So the US/Canada bumpers are safer/tougher, but the other ones are sexier. Hmmm. Any idea if bumpers from anything else will fit?
