  1. What color is your truck (color code)? I've searched for the factory blue hues but yours looks a tad lighter than the OE blue?
  2. Doesn't get much more ricer than this.
  3. Your son is going to live my childhood dream! That's so awesome!

There have been several F20/F22 swaps in Datsun 510 and the 620 is very similar size/engine bay size wise to that of a 510. I've planned to do an S2OOO swap for years and hoped to be the first to do the swap in a 620 but I've got a ton of projects and the 620 is currently getting a frame off/glass out restoration. Unfortunately, it looks like I'll have to wait a few years before doing the swap but I will definitely be doing this swap one day.
  5. Touche, I meant shock absorbers. I actually live in Japan but Im back in the US for work for another week. Im dropping my 620 off for paint next week before heading back home. I agree, I'd prefer rubber bushings but will take whatever I can find. Thanks for the help!
  6. Thanks a lot for all the great info, I really appreciate it. If you don't mind me asking, what are you running suspension-wise?
  7. Great write up. Are you running lowering blocks on the back? What size? Can you post some before/after pictures please. I am currently running 3" lowering blocks but want to go another inch lower and I think 720 leaf springs are probably the best way of accomplishing my desired height.
  8. I've done several searches and can't seem to come up with any solid answers. There are a ton of parts on ebay but it is hard to distinguish between cheap replica parts, good quality aftermarket parts, and even harder to justify the price on some OEM parts (though you always get what you pay for). My Datsun is about to go under the knife for a complete respray but she needs a lot of miscellaneous pieces for a complete restore. I'm looking for OEM quality or the closest thing available. Specifically: Does anyone sell a complete suspension bushing kit? Where can I find a grill with beauty rings? Where is the best place to get all new weather stripping (windshield, rear window, door window, and window squeegees)? What are some decent taillight and front turn signal lenses? What aftermarket struts do you recommend (running 3" blocks/front all the way down)? Where can I get an OEM like new front bumper? I understand a lot of these questions can be answered with, "keep your eye out on: craigslist, ebay, ratsun FS threads," but I was wondering if there were any websites that are trust worthy and have quality parts. I'm looking for a huge list of random parts but the ones listed above are goods apparently made from unobtainium. Any site(s) you recommend that have 620 parts for sale, I'm sure they'll have several items I need. Thank you all in advance for your assistance and I look forward to your opinions/input!
  9. A friend of mine gave me a hand today installing my Junction Produce taillights and fender signal lenses... (The taillights are a darker red with clear signal lenses instead of amber with matching clear lenses for the fender signal indicators)
  10. Yea sir, I'll be here until the end of 2014.
  11. Finally, lowered 2 inches via Espelir springs. I'm still waiting on my wheels to arrive but this is how she sits now.
  12. This car was originally ordered as a municipality vehicle for city in Aichi Prefecture. It was a city owned car from 1984-2011 to transport politicians and visiting officials. In 2011, the car went up for auction. A GS12 here in Misawa made an offer and ended up getting the car for far cheaper than expected. He bought the car to bring back stateside to add to his automotive collection. Unfortunately, when he received the car he was unable to fit in the car as comfortable as he desired. He's a tall guy and even with the front seat in its farthest position from the wheel, his knees were in the dash. He ended up giving in and letting me purchase the car. So technically I'm the 2nd owner as the true first owner was a city not an individual! I'm an active duty member of the Air Force so I'm familiar with the Y plates. They are very rare cars in Japan as most cars 80s and older have been scrapped.
  13. Thanks! I'm waiting on parts to arrive. Here's how she currently sits...
  14. Thanks, you can import anything as long as its 25 years or older. DOT FORM HS-7, check box 1. Anything over 21 years old is EPA, exempt as well. I'm still on the hunt for wheels and waiting for parts to be delivered!
  15. I removed the seat covers the day after I bought it! The Century's styling has changed very little from 1967-1997 (same chassis, just updated slightly over the years). Even the 1997-current Century look very similar. Surprisingly, the interior hasn't changed much throughout the Century's entire run from 67-present day. You can even order a brand new Century with the exact same interior cloth material mine has!
