  1. I completely understand that and I can dish it out just as much as I can recieve it. Not afraid of e-thugs. Most of the time they couldn't dish it to my face anyway. Never the less, after my first datsun I have been infected with a terrible craving for a bettet canvas to work with. This is what I, and I am am sure others posters of non-datsuns, are after.
  2. thanks. I have found one, I just need to get rid of this car. I have found that when you own a honda you attract a crowd that is less appreciative of a nicely modded vehicle. Example: 16 year old kids. This is why I am drawn to datsun. The crowd (in most cases) is more mature and appreciative. Maybe not in this thread, but for the most part.
  3. Personally, I have respect for all makes. If you don't like that I have a Honda I am sorry you had to go in my thread. I am a huge datsun fan, but I have seen some pretty "gay" datsuns in my time also. I am sure if I go over to a Toyota forum they will bash datsun's just like you are bashing Hondas and anything that isn't a datsun. I am also sorry that you can't get over your ego and respect the time, effort and money that goes into building a car datsun or no datsun for that matter. All this being said, I am a car guy. If you don't like my Honda in your forsale threads do me a favor. Find me a buyer for my Honda so I can get back into your beloved datsun. Rant Over
  4. I would trade for the shwinn, but it doesn't have a basket on the front and its only a one seater. I would also prefer a bell and and baseball card in the back wheel. So sorry I just can't pull the trigger on the shwinn. Although I know there a lot of weird people on the west coast gay services aren't on my list of trades so cmeasly I am going to have to pass.   5. I would have to say you are correct to an extent. I am not looking for a daily driver by any means. I am looking for a four door 510 mainly for the reason of my boy. I am still a kid trapped in an adult body that still wants to enjoy my motor head passion. The civic is driven mainly on the weekends and sometimes during the week. I am looking for a four door for carseat reasons. It is a pain putting it in and taking it out. That being said the future 510 will be treated as my civic has been treated. A weekend driver and on nice days throughout the week meaning Carson (my son) will not being seeing the back seat of whatever vehicle I end up with all that much. Mainly when momma has something come up and daddy drive the datsun to work that day. But Ben, you are right I am still living in my kid world.

  8. Dennis, I know it is a shot in the dark, but I am try to get into a 4 door with an sr swap. I have actually been try to trade my boosted k20 civic. I am also trying to sell the civic because there is no interest in a trade. I am willing to trade straight up. I hve receipts for 35,000 in parts and labor. My forsale ad is in the classifieds. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the car, I just don't want to part it out. I am sorry to hear about the pain you are in, but I know for a fact I can finish the project you started with perfection. If you are interested in a trade I will have no problem driving/hauling the civic down to you. If not I completely understand and wish you good luck with the sale.

  10. Ok guys here is what I have. This car has been babied for long enough and needs a driver. I don't drive it much anymore because of a recent addition to the family. I have a 1.5 year old that makes this car not very practical for a baby seat. I had a 71 510 wagon a year ago that was a rust bucket that I miss. I am willing to trade this car straight up for a 4 door 510 with a SR, f20, f22, or maybe even a vg30det swap. It needs to be virtually rust free. I will also consider selling the car for $13,000. It sounds like a hefty price, but with $35,000 in reciepts I believe it is well worth it. I could part it out and make the $13,000 I am asking, but I have no time for that. Picture of the install. The car is currently garaged for the winter and doesn't get driven unless the roads are clean and there is no rain in the forecast. I am very anal. i do not have any timeslips for it because I do not drag race it. I did most of the work to this car to get it into a magazine. Which it made it into one magazine, Honda Tuning. This was pre facelift and a few sets of wheels prior to the ones I have now. It also had a smaller turbo and smaller injectors. The car runs perfect without any hicc-ups.
