  1. thank you kaoss... I found out what all I need to do the conversion to a newer dashboard and all, hopefully i will find one thats not all dried up from the heat here in Las Vegas :D
  2. Hello fellow Ratsuneers... I have a question, maybe it has been asked before; I recently bought a '92 hardbody, and the question is this, will the dash panel from a newer model fit it? the original dash is busted all over as well as the steering wheel, so I was thinking of making a trip to one of my local J/Y and hope I find a 92-97 hardbody with a decent dash and cluster. Is it too hard a swap? I would also change the steering wheel and column cover i think.... Hope you guys can help me out... oh yeah, oics later today

I just bought a '92 hardbody, is an easier project that the 810 goon I had before I hope the wife don't get too miffed about me spending my afternoons with the truck... will post pics in a new thread later...
  4. Hello fellow ratsuneers, I am a sad lil puppy because I have to part ways with my 1978 810 wagon, I just figured I will see if any of you might be interested in it, Im in Las Vegas and she runs. Priorities have changed due to some family matters and I have to sell her. I rather any of you guys have her and give her a good home. I'm asking only 600 bux for her, I do have the title signed over to me by PO I hadn't registered it because she was a project. Anyway, hope someone wants her[/img][/img][/img][/img] Just to let you know the dark tint is gone and so is that ugly sticker in the back window... she does run way better than when I rescued her fixed a bunch of vaccum leaks and stuff

I recently went to Mexico on vacation I saw something that u guys might find interesting... besides all the hunny's hehe got pics of sum girls too but they dont belong in this forum... lol
  8. wish i was near the area and with some cash to spare.... she would make a nice "sister" to my 810
  9. Thanks for all the help u guys, I did what u suggested and found out i need to replace my wheel bearings to start with, and then im just gonna go ahead and change out the ball joints, and the tie rod ends, it turns out they are all really lose. I think is just safer that way too, new suspension parts will give me a bit more peace of mind. So new bushings and all kinds of goodies are already making my wish list at partstrain, where else do u guys go for inexpensive parts? any help in the "budget" area will be appreciated, Im sourcing the rubber strut mount from the wagon at the junkyard and new bearings for both of them, I only need one of the rubber mounts. Next week is gonna be busy for me, I have a b-day coming up and then a Mexico vacation next month, so work on my goon is gonna go slow for a couple of months, tho I dont mind I wanna do her right, I read somewhere that "if you dont build it is not really yours..." and I want her to be mine lol.
  10. It feels all over, but the steering wheel does have movement from side to side, I figured I might have to replace the ball joints and tie rod ends, is that very complicated? I think i have all the tools i need... maybe time to buy some more hehehe
  11. I have been driving my wagon around for about 3 weeks now, and the other day i finally got on the 95 fwy, i noticed that as soon as i got to 45 or 50 mph she started to shake, not knowing what causes the shake I chickened out and exited the fwy, i have checked my tires and besides the fact that the rear ones looked like they had some inside wear ( i think they were in the front at some point) I didnt find any bumps or air bubbles or deformities. My question is this: what can be causing the shake? I dont get it at normal street speeds, but i got to 45 or 50 the other day and the shake was there again, do you guys think it can be bearings? or shocks? or should i just take the whole thing apart and replace stuff? the suspension looks worn but nothing is lose, i tugged and pulled on everything, and nothing was lose. I need help (according to my wife i need help of the professional kind). thanks guys.
