  1. yes awesome Pics guys! wish I was there this year... MAN the competition is STIFF! so many beautiful restorations and over the top builds...it sure ain't the 90s anymore! glad to have made a couple parts that ended up there at least ;) !
  2. Aluminum does the Same...but it can be bent back into shape without being shattered into splintery bits! (I build a lot of stuff out of fiberglass too...just think it's nice to have an option that doesn't look like the same 'ol BRE spook)
  3. Been a while since I posted as I've been occupied pretty deep in the hot rod and racecar scene building one-off parts and trying to pay the mortgage...but anyone who knows me will attest to the fact that I love Datsuns....& care a whole lot about making quality parts. Starting off with making a simple "air dam / chin spoiler /spook " hand made right here in the USA, in 19ga. Steel or 16 ga. Aluminum. You can find them under " kooglewerks products" on my website www.kooglewerks.com
  4. thanks for trying to keep it "on topic" guys...I cannot tell you how many "I need a this and that" texts I'm getting tright now... I know you guys all have projects that need parts. I work on cars for a living, I dont sell parts for a living. hopefully whoever comes and picks the stuff up can help you all out. I will for sure forward them all requests.
  5. finally ready to pass along my datsun parts hoard. it's been picked through, but there still is a lot of good stuff. Need the space back to expand my work area, and just looking for someone with the means to take it ALL. (located in santa rosa, about one hour drive north of SF) I would love to help some fellow 510 enthusiast out with their projects by selling some stuff...but not desperate. three good front and rear windshields, a lot of Doors, Hatches, Hoods, a couple fenders, Grills, Headlight parts, Tail lamps, Stainless trim, L-series internals & heads, manifolds, distributors, carbs, entire dash assemblies, wagon rear axles, heater cores, and more! call or text message if you are seriously interested and have the means to transport and store EVERYTHING. leave a message and I will return it ASAP. you will need a trailer/big van or box truck to transport. 707-321820nine -Forrest
  6. just deleted messages.... damn I got a lot goin' right now... dont hate me if it takes a bit to get back to y'all!
  7. pending this check clearing...I think it's pretty much a done deal, SOLD. thanks for the positive input and interest to all! (and if anyone is that serious about the bumper build...PM or call/email/message me!)
  8. wow this thing made "bring a trailer" I've been told! ... and as expected... a few prospective buyers are claiming deposits are ready for transfer . ....yea, I do regret the sale. (got more than the 3.500$ in random 510 parts to sell, let alone a couple motorcycles/ other vintage jap tin...all slated for the craigslist machine) ..became disenchanted a while ago (starting the new porsche shop)...then kinda hated the thing since...but just cleaning the dust off and looking at it...damn I hope the new owner doesnt do some rookie bullshit to it!
  9. ...thanks for the input/bumps guys...and on the subject of building duplicate bumpers: 1: put the sale of the car on hold to make molds...or arrange with prospective buyer to allow for this delay 2: need to do a realistic projection of cost, depending on volume (this is difficult, because while making the original, it was a "labor of love" personal project) 4: determine if this all could be done within the average Ratsun 710 owners budget (now negate the first two lines!) ...I just really wish there were more hours in the day...these things'd be flyin outta my ass
  10. thanks for answering everyones questions about the build, and rear bumper bananahamuck ! so yea, I did an abbreviated write-up with a few photos...at this point quite a while back...I've been working full time at the Porsche shop nowadays...& am building my shop out to accomodate more tools and a full scale professional powder coating facility...so the projects must go.... bummer, I really love this car...it's suspension and the right wheels away from being a show-stopper! (okay...and a few hundred more horsepower)
