  1. Well finally got around to messing with it since classes are done for the semester. Alternator checked out fine (took it off and went to a parts store). Connections look fine from what I've seen.
  2. I don't think I've ever seen the choke fully open now that I think about it.
  3. Okay, been having issues with my '82 720KC. It ran fine for a few months after I bought it, then it stopped wanting to start (no power from battery) after it got cold out. Managed to get it started a few times by jumping it and then it would start fine by itself up until today when it stopped wanting to start because of power again. The other problem I'm having is the idle is all jacked up. Part of the time it will idle around 1k but the other parts of the time it will idle around 2k even after it is warmed up and it will sometimes go down to 1k only to go back up to 2k at another time. Today it was idling fine for a bit, then started to idle at 2k all the time, then at a few moments it jumped the idle up to 3k until I tapped the pedal a bit and it would drop down to 2k. Any ideas?

    ka24de info

So who all knows what it takes to swap a KA24DE into an '82 720KC. I know a couple have done it but all I find is the 510 swap stuff. I happen to have a couple KA's laying around out of my S13.
  5. Eventually I want to get some wider wheels (probably DRW's) for my '82 720KC but I have no idea as to what would be a good offset/backspace so the wheels wouldn't be sunk in. It has some 15x6's on it currently but doesn't look like there is an offset/backspace listed and the wheels are sunk in quite a bit. What does everyone here run?
  6. Figured I'd make an intro post. Just picked up an '82 720KC with 64k original miles today. Drove it about 90 miles home and it was a handful keeping that Z22S under control. Also own a more-rust-than-metal '84 Celica ST and a '91 S13 Hicas getting an SR swap.
