So i have had this truck for a few months now and im totatlly not into the slodat thing... I want something with some power. I have owned a few toyota and i love the power of a 22r... The Napz motor seems to be a lot like it and i just wanted to get some ideas from you guys. I know where i can get a motor for really cheap and i was gonna build it pretty nasty, well as much as i can get nasty with an all motor unit... Any other ideas motor wise that i can do for cheap? I have seen a lot of L motor rebuilds on here, but my buddy has a L16 and it just seems like a nowhere game for power. Im tired of the J13...

hey i want that gasket set. Mines pretty much running like a pile of shit. So its time to tear it down. Lets figure out the shipping and paying... Maybe paypal??

what did you do for motormounts?

does that thing get it with the rotary in it or what? I know where there is a early 80's rx-7 that i might be able to pickup for cheap... Give me some info.

does it ride terrible with the tortions totally removed? I thought about doing that but then your always on the bump stops... I was thinking about just reindexing them and removing a leaf or two in the back to drop it a bit more. Mine are 17s too but im running 235/45/17 rubber on them. So there pretty wide. I think if i go much lower in the front im going to run into rubbing issues. Did that electronic dizzy help a lot? If it did maybe i should look into that... that is after i get it running on all 4 cylinders :rolleyes:

Ya I definitly want the gasket set... But i still need to do a compression test. Give me a couple of days cause shes down for the count right now. But hold the gasket set for me for sure.... Thanks man. Did you reindex the tortions on yours or do the 18's just stuff the fenderwells?

So, I have done a complete tune up to this old motor. Points, cap, rotor, plugs, wires, valve adjusment, timing, and i still have a dead cylinder.... Im thinking i have a burnt valve because the valves were so far out of adjusment... Will the mg head gasket work on the j13 motor? Im having trouble finding a headgasket. And i dont want to take the head off if i cant find a gasket. Any ideas???????:confused:
