Interesting, never seen a fastback one before!
  2. Needs to be somewhere in between the sunken battleship tuck on the Longchamps and the el Mexicano style epsilons IMHO.
  3. Ok, thread from the dead.... I'm looking at a 520, and pro-comp steel wheels. Would rather not have to run flares, however rolled lips, stretched tyres, no problemo. So sizes available... 15x8" -50 15x8" -19 15x8" 0 15x8" +6 Outside chance - 15x10" -44 (rear perhaps?)? I'm thinking from my calculations 15x8" -19 will sit about 70mm inward of your Turbines which seems like it would be reasonably flush with the stock body, perhaps would the 8" -50s fit in the rear? or would it be best to just rock -19 all round? In my minds eye I'd like to just tuck tread in front (or slightly higher if it pokes) and probably a little higher in the rear, likely run a 195/45 or 195/50 on 8" rims and a 215 if 10s would fit.
  4. That yellow Yamaha MX80 would be a good restorer!
  5. Awesome! What car is the VG going to be in? Are you planning to convert them to efi as I'm guessing they might have been mechanical from the looks?
  6. I did too, but I just dragged my feet on organising dry storage for it, then also found they are relatively easy to come by anyway in more usable condition. Still it was $200AUD. It was missing the carburettor assembly, but otherwise complete. Had journeyed to Tasmania from West Australia in 2003 from its rego! Pics were from '07 and to be honest, I couldn't imagine driving cross continent in the state it would have been in 4 years back... Enough thread derailment.
  7. Ha yeah, its floody from PF. I saw the 411 drawings in a thread over there and thought I'd check this forum out, and it has most/all things I love, that being old NisDatsunsans.
  8. G'day guys, This is my ride, not quite a Datsun, but its certainly in the traditional Nissan style of things (mac struts, trailing arms, straight six). I'm in Tasmania, Australia, car was imported in the mid 90's. 1988 HR31 GTS coupe, -RB20DET w/VG30 turbocharger, 5 speed, R200 LSD -JIC coilovers, JIC carbon fibre strut brace, cusco pillowball upper mounts. -3" exhaust system, straight through with a single race muffler. -HICAS, electronic shock absorber adjustment (disconnected when JICs fitted). -17x8 and 17x9" mesh rims. Just did a big end bearing, so its about to come off the road and will return with R33 GTS-T 4 piston brakes, repainted front end, Blitz front mount intercooler, bilsteins and most likely a Powerbrute LSD centre. Plus fixed heater core, regassed aircon (mmm digital climate control), removed HICAS etc. Maybe some recaro LXs (drivers' at least).
  9. Fantastic artwork mate! I had a similar plan for this; however I dragged my feet a little and it ended up selling. 1963 312. Was actually straight and complete down to badgework and chrome but had nasty rust in the roof which kind of put me off it.
