  1. Any updates on this as I am planning something similar using a five lug setup and using also R32 GTR wheels along with S14 front calipers and rotor and Z32 rear calipers and rotors, I would also like to keep the handbrake feature as well.
  2. Where did you get the front bottom flare that attaches to the side fenders? I really like how it looks on your car and the one I posted. Is it sold separately or with the fenders?
  3. Okay I have been doing some research for the SR swap into the 1600. I know most people use the drop-in kits from Datsport and others and I have great respect for them but the only problem is that I live in Trinidad and bringing in one of those kits will be expensive in regards to my location and its weight. I also know that many people have done their own install by flipping the crossmember around and making minor mods to the crossmember. What are some of the other things to look out for if trying to do this install from scratch and also what brake combination would you recommend? The car is going to be in possession soon, a next week or two and will be soda blasted and worked on as well. Once I get my camera I will snap some pics of the progress. My main concern right now is fitting the S15 rear subchassis to the back of the car and also hoping that the IMSA kit is wide enough. We'll see, wish me luck.

  7. Where can I find fenders for my Dat to make it look similar to this? this car is just awesome. From what I recalled I saw the car when the flares were rivetted on and then molded on.
  8. I am just throwing this out there. Has anyone undertaken this, my friend has acquired an old 1600 Datsun and we are looking at throwing an SR20DET into it and was wondering how much work would it be to fit the entire S14 rear subchassis into it. Reason being that we already have these parts from passed projects. We are thinking about flaring the rear side panels considerably to take some beefier wheels 245/50/16 and maybe even slicks at some point so we are not too concerned about how wide the S14 rear subframe is, also it would eliminate have to shorten the axles and respline them. Has anyone ventured into this or is this new territory? The plan is to put an S15 engine into it that is modded and use either the stock S15 six speed box with the modded 3rd to 4th gear circlip fix or throw in an RB25DET box on it along with a one piece driveshaft and see what it does up the quarter. Let me know your thoughts, I may put the S15 helical LSD setup I have instead of the S14 backend but I just want to know if this has ever been done and what sort of fabrication had been done. Getting R200 setups with CVs is tough down here so I am trying to work with what I have.
