Okay I have been doing some research for the SR swap into the 1600. I know most people use the drop-in kits from Datsport and others and I have great respect for them but the only problem is that I live in Trinidad and bringing in one of those kits will be expensive in regards to my location and its weight. I also know that many people have done their own install by flipping the crossmember around and making minor mods to the crossmember. What are some of the other things to look out for if trying to do this install from scratch and also what brake combination would you recommend? This is the base of my project,

Currently the engine is in pieces but will be together in the next month or so. The car is going to be in possession soon, a next week or two and will be soda blasted and worked on as well. Once I get my camera I will snap some pics of the progress. My main concern right now is fitting the S15 rear subchassis to the back of the car and also hoping that the IMSA kit is wide enough. We'll see, wish me luck.
