  1. @ggzilla thanks. yes there insert cartridges. @bananahamuk thanks for the link just ordered some collars. @ datsunfreak thanks. do you know if there is enough toe adjustment or should i try to fabricate some longer tie rods. one last question has anyone tried r31/m30 steering bit to quicken the steering ratio. ive read on brindabella motorsports (i think) that r31 steering will quicken up a10 steering and was wondering if m30 suspension is the same since they do use the same chassis.
  2. the front struts are new nos gabriel( i think forgot the name) performance struts. supposedly race versions. they have been in the car since July. im not sure if the valving is adjustable since they are a gas filled strut. also with the collars is the spring perch/base welded to the collar or does it just rest on the collar.
  3. thanks datzenmike. hmm ive never seen those collars before were can i pick them up at. i know cutting the springs will raise the spring rate which i think is 95lbs on the stock springs. but i have racing dampers in the front which are far to stiff for the stock spring rate thats why i wanted to cut the springs. i only want to lower it about 2 inches just enough to slightly tuck the the 175 70 13 front and back.
  4. i know this question has probably been asked before but does anyone know how many coils need to be cut to lower a a10 wagon 2 inches in the front and if there is enough alignment adjustment left to lower it 2 inches
  5. im not sure on the l20b models but on the z20s model on the side of the distributor there is a connector. just clean the connector and it should stop the problem.i had the same problem with mine when i first fot it,also u may want to check your choke
  6. what size turbo is that.lol.how much power is it putting down.have you took it to a strip.lol.
  7. if your looking for a 5-speed dog leg i belive some of the early harbody's with a z24 have them. at least the one at my local u pull it has one.lol
  8. hey cool another whla10. kinda reminds me of this one. i also have a whla510 and if i remember correctly on ebay u can get seals but i belive they were in the phillipines or uk under 160j or 140j weatherstriping. or maybe try stanza weatherstripping. because down in oz they still rally these things regularly.lol.
  9. i have a 80 510(hla510) with stock carb and auto tranny.when the car is in park or neutral it idles high and rough about 2000-3000 rpms. when i put it in gear it idles alot rougher and at about 500-1800 rpms without the air cleaner on.if i put the air cleaner on it stalls out no matter what. i've tried adjusting everything i could think of.

  11. no the battery isnt taking a charge at all from the alternator. its an everstart battery.i dont know how old the battery is:( because it was in it when i bought the car last july but i was told the battery was fairly knew. by the previous owner
  12. my battery keeps dying becaue its not getting power from the alternator but the alternator is putting out over 15 volts.i took it to the auto parts store to have them test it and they said it was my alternator.but the alternator is putting out power. so is over 15 volts to much voltage or is there some fuseable links between there.does anyone have the wiring digram for a z20s in an 80 510.thanks to all that help.

  15. i know this question has prolly been asked a 1000 times be 4 but i couldnt seem to find it in the search.lol. ok so here we go. how many parts if any switch out from the p510/pl510 to the a10 510. like the front clip .lol.also how rare are the a10 510s because i would like to swap the z20s for a ka24de and maybe in the near future swap a 240 rear end. p.s. thanks to any info
