OL YELLER

This is a shout out to all the guys I havent seen in too many years....This ol man is still around.......

I will come back soon witrh better updated photos of these two.....Whitey is a very rare April 1972 build 620....I bought him from the original owner in Garden Grove, California about 8 yrs ago.......He has become my Daily driver lately and is very reliable.....gonna get him Painted prolly next spring...back to the original white of 1972............

DID NOT start as a swap meet...They have ALWAYS asked us to honor that and not bring parts or stuff to swap, etc....

Hey now, that was some show...so glad the weather was so much cooler this year....Also so happy to see all of the pickups that are starting to show up each year....I remember the 1st year we had (3) 620s, 1 (320), and a Patrol...that was it for the pickup Category.....all you pickup people are to be congratulated.....Great day and good to see some all of y'all having a good time...looking forward to next year for sure.......

Well now this is all quite interesting...I have never considered my lil Yelo truck a show car (not even remotely close as a matter of fact)..this year is "our" 10th year of participation and with all that is happening as regards the Quality of the participants entries, I'm wondering if "OL YELLER" will pass the inspection test for next year..ya see this lil truck is an absolute daily driver that I use frequently to go back and forth to work...(probably around 6k a year)...the truck was painted in 2005 and beginning to show his age..still quite "purty", but the lower valance has some rock chips, the front of the hood has some lil chips as well...nothing drastic, but, i'm wondering if....................So ya see, as a Loooooong time participant in this show, I will continue to go and have a good time with the people I meet and the cars that I see there, but, maybe Ill have to get workin on my other truck to get it "show worthy" for next year.............

Looking forward to seeing all y'all in 2 weeks...Ray and I will be there for awhile...got some family things goin on on Sat evening but we will be there prolly till about 2 or 3......gonna be a good day for shure
