  1. I've got a front mount ready for it, Worried about getting the motor/trans bolted up for the moment.
  2. Well, got a little time to work on it last night. Out came the L! Went about Mocking everything up, It 90% slides right in, However we ran into a few problems. Downpipe does not clear the steering shaft. (This car is an auto with P/S for reference) Oil pan is TIGHT on the crossmember, But does clear. Working on a set of adapter plates for the mounts as time permits. Stay tuned! I'll flesh this out out more later today.
  3. Got this off a nice older gentleman on CL, 141k miles, owned by a professor at UNC before he died. Had sat ~5 years. Fresh gas and it fired right up, However the brakes are a scary thing indeed. My plans? I have this hanging around the shop, So why not. Also going to lower the car a tad bit, Put some slightly larger tires on the rear, and go have some fun. :) Right now im cleaning up the old maxima and replacing all the wear parts on the new engine. T belt, WP, ect ect. More to come!
  4. wonders why "helping a friend wrench" always mean i wrench, he watches?

Haha. Been there and done that....today in fact. :)

  5. first ill say this. your s30 is one of the main reasons i signed up...that being said,i have to disagree there. im tossing around the idea of a KA24DET powered 240z. yes, you lose those front two cylinders with an I4 over even the L2x, but gain a cross flow head, and i know you discounted it earlier, but better weight distribution. yes, the S30's have a MAMMOTH engine bay. i've seen everything from BB caddy engines to CA18/SR20's dropped in, and everything in between. ANY s30, hell any datsun period saved from the crusher or rotting away to nothingness isnt a waste in my opinion.
  6. Been trolling for awhile, and decided to go ahead and join up. I've been a HUGE fan of nissan/datsun for years, and have owned more than i can count. currently in the stable is a 72 240z, 85 200sx, 96 pathfinder, and a few other non-nissan cars. just wanted to drop in and say whats up, look forward to bouncing ideas/ect off you guys. i see some really high quality stuff goin on here.
