  1. Hello,,

I am looking for a decent sedan windshield, mine has many small pits from when it was being dragged behind a motorhome for years.

    Thanks

I don't have used windshield, just parted out a 73 sedan and the windshield was fogged really bad!

However, windshieldstogo.com has NEW Datsun 1200 SEDAN windshields listed for $215.00

Warehouses you can pick one up at Seattle, Kent and Everett, AFTER you order one.

I think this a great deal.  A new windshield is a great treat.

      Hope this helps.

      Later

      Doug

  2. What I am doing lately is lightening the load of Datsun 1200 parts. IF you are going to be AT Powerland this coming Saturday and Sunday and need 1200 parts, send me a message and I will see if I have what you are looking for..? I have USED parts.. See you there.
  3. Brilliant, so you can make the show on Sunday!
  4. I have flywheel and driveline for your 210, if you still are looking for one send me your email and I will send you pictures and prices. I have both A12 and A14/15 flywheels. Doug
  5. I looked this coupe over, the floors have been replaced, he has new door seals and front windshield seal, most of the body has been stripped, tail panel is not all beat to shit, it's solid car. It needs paint and reassembled. Way better than most 1200 here in the Northwest!
  6. Decent Datsun 1200 coupe project: https://portland.craigslist.org/wsc/cto/d/beaverton-1973-datsun-1200-coupe/7528000274.html
  7. After watching your 1200, it seemed like it was/wasn't getting traction in the corners, was it tires, tire pressure or?? I have watched your other videos and haven't noticed this reaction in the turns. Thanks for posting, looked like good fun! Doug
  8. Windshieldstogo.com list windshields for 1200 coupe, may be best to call them and check availability. scottsoldautorubber.com.au has front windshield gaskets, both with/without groove for chrome trim. There more expensive then most but I have had one in my coupe since 2010, still supple. I run a H89 with dual springs on my A12, but I run 42mm SU's that Steve from Z Therapy built for me, they work very well on my engine built to withstand 8,000 rpm. I have A14 blocks, crankshafts, long blocks etc, also have an A15 crankshaft, they fit in a A14 blocks without any troubles. You know if you are going to run 40mm or 44/45mm carbs? I have side draft intake manifolds for the 44/45's for sure. Have you considered which exhaust header you wish to use? If you go to A14/15, the increase in torque will break the 56A trans and the H145 rear end, so what trans/rear end were you thinking of using?? I ask because the later is what has kept me from going to a larger engine producing more torque.
  9. Do you have a Sedan or Coupe? The windshields are different sizes. Do you want Intake oval port manifold and carbs, that are stock SU's Hayashi or aftermarket side draft manifold and carbs?
  10. Datsun B210 came with H150 3rd members, good for about 125 ft lbs of torque & are 51.5" wide. Limited gear ratios, 3.70 and 3.89 were the two most common. However your CA18det make more torque then this rear end would handle, A H165 came in the late 510's and early 200sx's, they are rated at 225 ft lbs of torque and are about 54" wide. (never been able to find H165 LSD or gear sets) Most of us 1200 guys struggle with finding Limited Slip Differentials, LSD... that are available for Datsun rear ends. If your car is running a CA then getting to "hook-up" is the biggest challenge. This is why not many 84-85 Mazda RX7 rear end left laying about. Many came with factory LSD, a variety of gear ratios and there is enough of the rear axles to cut-down and re-spline. After narrowing the axle housing, and cutting all the 4 link brackets off. Many of the Roadster guys went away from H190's because of not being able to get LSD's and used the RX7 rear ends. You 620 rear end is about 54" wide and a torque rating of 285 ft lbs. and 6 lug wheel pattern, could be re-drilled. If you run across a solution to this on going challenge, short of 8.8 and 9inch Fords....please post!

    Is this engine still available?
  12. Yes, it is the short one, I realized that I hadn't listed the banjo bolt for the Sentra caliper, as SOMETIMES they are missing from the calipers when I have ordered them from RockAuto in the past. I appreciate you adding this brake info to your site as getting the right part the first time makes these swap/upgrades that much easier!
  13. The banjo bolt for the Sentra Caliper used in this brake upper grade is a RAYBESTOS H5381 {#463560E00A, 46462SE0000} $3.15 OR NISSAN 463560E00A for about $5.85, both available from rockauto.com
  14. You can download the suspension manual here for free: http://datsun1200.com/modules/mydownloads/ I think I MAY have a set, of copies, of the prints, they are full scale like 3x5 feet, I will start search and destroy mission as I have hidden them from myself! I will message you when found.
  15. 1200's do not have fuel pump in the gas as a stock location, this is wiring for gas level sending unit... leads to gas gauge in the dash instrument cluster. Stock fuel pump location is on the dizzy side of the engine block, is mechanical and is run by a eccentric lob on the camshaft. UNLESS.. it has been replaced by an inline electric fuel pump, and then there will be block off plate where the original pump mounted.
