  1. Hey guys- So, my truck blew the head gasket and I just got it back on the road and what not. It was quite the mess! But fun and quite the experience none-the-less. I am trying to help the engine perform a bit better... I am looking for a new air cleaner setup.. The whole kabob that sits on the carburetor. Mine's old and decrepit, so air intake is a bit messy. Anyways... I've been looking on ebay and google without finding anything really. If anybody has a site I can hop on to, let me know... Thanks friends. Cassandra
  2. Oh yea.. it runs. For real. Needs a clutch.. and rear brakes. Who knows what else... I am going up there to start taking things apart. whooooo
  3. Mine are actually bad ass safety glasses. Not prescription! hahaha
  4. hahahahaha nice Skib.. funny Well it looks like I have some time to give you guys a little story. So in March '09 I was given this motorcycle. And it looked just like this... I knew I had always wanted a motorcycle, just didn't know which one or what the hell it would look like. I am really into vintage motorcycles so I started researching them, looking at pictures, and then found the most beautiful motorcycle ever. Burt Munro's 1920 Indian Scout. Look it up... it is amazing. I just started messing with everything and slowly started learning mechanics, how things worked, etc. I first decided to change the clutch/shift setup. I switch it to a foot clutch a.k.a suicide clutch and hand shift/jockey shift. Then from there I worked on aesthetics. I found the tank on a motorcycle forum, the tractor headlight at a swap meet, etc etc etc. I did some engine work: I replaced the head because my exhaust had broken off from a sheared mounting bolt. And all the time I was posting on this chopper forum called The Chopper Underground... I was found on there by an editor in The Horse. He asked me if I wanted a spread in an issue and I said HELL YES PLEASE! So, the rat and I are in the 100th issue of The Horse. And that was back in July... I haven't done much with it since then because I have been traveling around working on self-contained air hammers. Doing the mechanic thing. But I now have a steady mechanic job working at a 4x4 shop doing general mechanic work and custom builds. Both of the motorcycles I own are up there so I will definitely get some work done to it soon. Get it running strong and legal. hahahaha... yes, every time I have driven it around it has been illegal.. whoops. too bad... the cops always let me go, they don't even mind me. it is great! hahahahah :)
  5. All for you guys... Have fun lookin'. I'll be back later tonight for a description. It was a good year worth of project. First mechanical thing I ever worked on.
  6. Not quite sure yet what makes it heavy duty. I am going to the shop in a bit so maybe I can find out. I'll take more pictures. As for the motorcycle... well, I should probably just start a whole other thread for my other baby. It is up at the shop too, so more work to be done.
  7. Well, here she is! My new child. She will live at the shop I am working at for a while. Gotta figure out what the hell I am gonna do with the babe! Need some ideas! hehehe
  8. Yea, I hate living in Arkansas. There is nothing here. I've only ever seen one 620 here in town. Balls.
  9. Are you talking about that emblem? I actually have one...
  10. Wow, I found a junkyard here that lets me just wander and wander until I am about to die of a heat stroke. I found two old side view mirrors off of a sixties or fifties chevy or ford and he charged me $5 a mirror. They are the cool box truck mirrors, but like, miniatures. Very perfect. And then I found a '77 datsun pickup that had a pretty damn good lookin seat in it and he only charged me 30 dollars for it! I was a happy camper. As long as I have the tools to yank shit out and am capable, dude doesn't seem to mind!
  11. I am in love with power hammers. FORGING IS AMAZING.

  12. Well, I've done same damn work. And if it wasn't for working at the Honda shop, this would have taken forever. I think this might have taken a sharp turn... might not be restoring anymore at this point. I got a driver fender here near Fayetteville, wooo! Put it on in about 2 hours. Spent lots of time reworking some metal that was smashed up, painting and removing unnecessary things. Anyways, since the after market panel was black, not quite flat, I decided to remove the other last night and paint it! So, I sanded it down to remove the clear coat and then shot it with a spray can of rustoleum. Afterwards, I took a skotch scuff pad thing and went to town on it. Brought through the bare metal and some of the orange/yellow paint. I think it loots kinda cool. I want to make it more visible, so it is still in the process of coming through. Let me know what you guys think...
  13. Do you still have the 620 headlights?

  14. Do you have a black rat-n-wrenches one? Or only white?
