I have a L18 motor in my datsun wagon. Ever since i bought the car its had a starter grinding problem. It seems like the starter is barley engaging with the flywheel. Ive already tried three starters and get the same results. I looked at the flywheel and the teeth arent that bad. So i was wondering is it possible it has the wrong flywheel are am i using the wrong starter. I used my old starter off my l20 it does the same thing so if anybody has run into this problem before and know how to fix it could you please let me know thanks. The tranny is standard
yea i put them onand they ran i put the timing at 15 degrees but i still have the stock vacuum advanced on the distributor can i hook that directly to the intake. my main question for the webers r what venturies should i use and emulsion tubes and air thanks
im sorry i double posted it was by accident and i do own both vw and datsuns and whom ever that it was that was talkin crap about vws i will pull it out on whatever u got and teach u sum thing and thanks for your replies and help
im putting on a set of 40 webers on a L 18 motor it is all stock except for a set of headers. i would like to know what jetting i would need for that size of a motor thanks
