  1. The latest photo of my 1971 Datsun 510 Cosmo 13B Rotary turbo. Engine rebuild by Abel Ibarra. Did most of the work for over 25 years, except the engine rebuild, interior upholstery and a 15 years old candy apple metallic red paint.
  2. They'd be close to 200mph in 1/4 which is a little bananas on the street. These races are pretty much won and lost on the launch. Pretty cool to watch a rotary that's build for HP at the end of 1/4 mile race. Rotary needs a LSD and 4:88 diff gears with a 24" tall tire for a 1/8 drag.
  3. Thanks friend! Sorry my PR rotary brotha! I miss that one! The new king of the hill in import drag racing: EKanoo Racing’s 2JZ-powered Toyota Supra. Run a 6.05 sec @ 141 mph 1/4 mile. I'm sure Major League and Lokito Killer both car from PR will beat that very soon!
  4. I always compared a 10A rotary engine 1.0 liter to a 4 cylinder, 12A 1.2 liter to a 6 cylinder, 13B 1.3 to a 8 cylinder and the 20B 2.0 to a 10 cylinder. Japan, Australia and Puerto Rican loves rotary engine and they have build 4 rotors, 6 rotors and I have seen 8 rotors at the rotary car show and track. Crazy and the best is the Brap Brap Brap sound it makes! Just a little history about my love to rotary engine! Mazda 787B Spark plugs: 3 per rotor (stock rotary only uses 2 spark plugs per rotor) Rotors: 4 Maximum Power: 700 hp (520 kW)/9000 rpm Maximum Torque: 448 History of the famous Mazda 787B Rotary engine = 24 Hours of Le Mans (3 of MazdaSpeed 4 rotor 26B 2.6 liter finished) Although the 787 and 787B lacked the single lap pace of World Championship competitors such as Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, and Porsche, as well as Japanese Championship competitors Nissan andToyota, the Mazdas had reliability which allowed them to contend for their respective championships. The reliability of the cars eventually paid off in 1991 when a 787B driven by Johnny Herbert, Volker Weidler, and Bertrand Gachot went on to victory in the 1991 24 Hours of Le Mans. This remains as of 2015 the only victory by a Japanese marque as well as the only victory by a car not using a reciprocating engine design. Still to date the only Japanese Manufacture to win the Le Mans 24. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_24_hours_of_Le_Mans_records Mazda's 787B, powered with a rotary model 26B Wankel engine, won in 1991, overcoming reliability issues in the older manufacturer cars. It was the first (and so far the only) Japanese manufacturer to win Le Mans, as well as the only non-piston engine car to ever win. It won against considerable opposition from factory-entered Mercedes, Jaguar and the new 3.5L Peugeot cars; and from privately entered Porsche 962's, From the Mazda Motor Museum website, it claims the engine has a maximum output of 930 hp (690 kW), and a maximum redline of 10,500rpm. This setup was not used during racing for worries associated with reliability. History video from the 1991 Le Mans 24 hours - the first ever Japanese manufacturer to ever win a Le Mans 24 hours race again the mighty Europeans big guns. For the Fans of 1/4 mile drag racers. Pac Performance new world record 6.47 @ 222 mph world fastest rotary. I'm a oldschool RX3, Rotary Pick up, RX7 and now a 510 owner, many ask me about reliability and I always show this article.
  5. This is 1 of my rotary buddy said: The hollands performance dsm from my town made to through everyone but chief. Chief apologized for saying anything bad about imports to trevor. Word is they arnt going to air the scenes.... I think its a hillbilly pride thing. Cant show the world that imports are more impressive then 3000hp muscle cars lol
  6. One of my favorite tv shows that I watch and respect, the Street Outlaws, aka OKC racers, has finally raced a Rotary. Here is the vid from youtube. The mighty titan Murder Nova vs the little 1.3 liter Datsun 1200 -13b turbo rotary. It looks like the Big Chief has his hand up for Shawn then drop it. Wow! Crazy take off! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i4DlAfcH1uI
