Please dont take this the wrong way, i'm really not trying to be a smart ass. I'm sorta gettin annoyed with posts like this cluttering up ratsun. This site is a HUGE resorce. ive learned sooo much in the couple moths ive been here from just looking around. As you can see my post count is very low because most everything i would like to know i can find from just looking around for 10-20 min at most. I had some other stuff to say but forgot.
  2. sorta off topic but i picked myself up a mooneyes gas pedal at the Hershey Fall swap meet this past weekend. moon equip. makes some awesome stuff!
  3. lookin good man, just a quick question. after sanding/stripping, did you have to prep the surface before applying primer? or did you spray directly onto the metal? also is that rattlecan primer your using? I will be staring bodywork soon and have no clue what i'm doing so any advice will help. Thanks
  4. Thanks for the interest but the motor is now gone.
  5. hey guys! I need to make some room in the garage for my neverending projects so here ya go. L20 i pulled out of my 79 620. I was told by previous owner that it had a headgasket leak. I have never ran this motor, the previous owner drove the truck onto the car trailer and i brung it home, pushed the truck into the garage and pulled it out. this thing is free to anybody who wants to come and pick it up. I know most of you guys are on the west coast so if there is no interest in pickup, i will part this thing out. If i have to part out i'm asking for a donation plus shipping costs. All the leftovers will go to the scrapyard, so dont let this thing go to waste. I'm located in Martinsburg, WV. About 1-1 1/2 hours from d.c/baltimore/nova area. If you would like any more pics or any more info just let me know. Thanks for lookin!
  6. any pics of the new front body mount by chance, if its not too much trouble. mine have like a "hump" around the bolt hole and was wondering if i can just make it flat like you did your rear when i replace it. (if any of that makes sense. lol) thanks!
  7. yup its deff a 79, my bad, typo. Yea, the previos owner must be a primus fan cause the sticker does say Les Claypool for president. And yello620: yes thats a banshee, well whats left of one. my buddy had it as a hillclimb bike and it took a tumble down the hill last summer so hes parting it out in my garage.
  8. hello all! i just purchased my first datsun and am looking forward to the new project. ive owned a 240sx with sr20 swap for the past 5 years and was looking for something different to work on. i originally planned on buying a z car and swapping in the sr20 but while searching for one i came across the 620s and fell in love. i began my search and found its really hard to find decent datsuns on the east coast, especially in WV. I found this beut on ebay a couple hours from my home. Its rough but only payed $200 so i figued what the hell. Its a 69 KC, i have high hopes for this project but well see what happens when i get into it. I'm really glad i found this forum, there is a TON of info that will help me alot. Here are a couple pics... the trip home. the frontier pulled the WV hills awesome! mostly surface rust i'm hoping i pulled up the carpet and found this treat! around the cab mounts is rusted so theyll have to be replaced. the interoir is really nasty. (couple pics from the ebay listing) my sr20 that will hopefully be put in after rebuild sometime...hopefully. thanks for lookin!
