im looking for a brake system diagram for my 1980 280zx. ive found i have a bad leak, and need to tack down the leak.

ive looked around the north atlanta area and check the major yards... found 1x 280z and it was rusted beyond salvage..

ugh... do you think they can pull the sheet metal for me and ship to Atlanta?

im looking for a new roof skin and wiper cowl for my 1980 280zx... ive searched alot of local joints around here and have exhausted all my my known Z car web-sites.. Can you guys let me know where to get sheet metal for my car??

i just got the car about a week ago. the previous owner let the car sit for about 6months... changed the oil the day before i got it. unfortunately he used 10w30 oil... which means im going to have to replace it with a good high mileage 30w. it was pretty clean under the cam cover nothing surprising after 30 years and 280k miles. but a few mins with some wd-40 and some tools got my valve working again, i also checked the valved lash on the rocker arms.. nothing outrageously out of wack there. just got back from lunch with my dad and i beat a mustang in a red-light run... so this car is still very fast. again.. much thanks

anyone know where i can find sheet metal replacements for my 1980 280zx? The roof skin and wiper cowl are rusting through and i would like to replace them.

replaced the fuel filter today... major power increase... was still running rough tho... pulled the cam cover off found i had a stuck valve, took some wd-40 and worked it loose... after replacing the cover it has been running like new.. if it sticks again ill just have to rebuild the head. thanks for all the help guys.. im starting to think that an injector might be the cause... it almost sounds like its missing as you accelerate...

i replaced the plugs with denso TT plugs, and installed a new bwd cap and rotor... there is a significant power increase all across the band. but its still accelerating rough.. im currently looking for a datsun mechanic/ "someone" who can check this out for me.

Anyone know how to fix a rough acceleration on a FI L28, I have replaced the distributor cap and rotor, also the plug wires and spark plugs. I even fiddled with the timing a bit... but nothing has made it better... it idles fine. everything was running fine untill my fuel pump died a couple days ago.. i replaced the pump and now it runs rough. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Rian

thanks for the help guys... ill check the gauge first then if its the sending unit... ill just have to replace it.. i have one other issue with the car right now... but i cant post it here cause its not an electrical issue...
