  1. I'll let you know how I like the 65's when I get one of mine on the road.
  2. Posted that in a hurry yesterday. More info now. I rebuilt the carb several months ago, and it took a while to get the electronic choke set right. I had it set properly in the AZ summer. I just replaced the choke pull off, and it's colder now. So it wasnt starting right away and the idle was finicky. So I started trying to adjust it and it went all wrong. I also did a big tune up on the engine a month or so ago. Adjusted valves, checked compression, new ignition pick up, wires, plugs, cap, rotor, air filter, adjusted timing, and an oil change. I think I just need someone to help me out with manning the ignition so I can adjust the carb. Getting it started and then trying to make it run long enough for me to run around to the adjusters was frustrating to say the least last night. Guess it's time to enlist the girlfriends help. DatzenMike, thanks for the advice, I'll hopefully have time on sunday to work on it again. I'll let you kniow how it goes.
  3. I have a stock 78 B210. I have never been a carb guy, always had FI in my cars until now. I need some help setting my carb to run properly. I thought I had it pretty decent a while ago, but now it wont idle. Does anyone know how many turns in or out all the adjusters should be at?
  4. Thanks. I've got to trace down a vacuum leak and then the engine should be all set. Then it's onto rebuilding the brakes.
  5. This is my 78 B210 Purchased it earlier this year for $400, rebuilt the carb and it ran. Adjusted the electronic choke, and it fires right up now. Got some work done on it recently. Checked the compression, adjusted the valves and rechecked the compression. Much better results the second go around. Especially on #3 cylinder! New spark plugs, wires, cap rotor, air filter, and ignition pick up. It ran a lot stronger after all that. Now I just need to get the carb adjusted a touch better. I'm pretty sure I have a vacuum leak though. It doesn't immediately idle down after letting off the throttle. Nothing mechanical is sticking. So I'll be checking for leaks later in the week. Next on the list is new wheel cylinders, rebuilding the calipers, new brake hoses, carb choke pull off, and rear shocks.
  6. I'm looking into replacing the seats on my 78 B210 coupe. The drivers side floor reminds me of my Z, it has a big "catalytic converter hump" on the side of the transmission tunnel. Which hinders fitment of other seats. Will definitely be reusing the stock rails. But I need to find a lower sitting seat. And something that will actually keep me in place while driving.
  7. Nice! That's a motor I want to play with. Do they have the same intake as the VQ45's?
  8. Where in AZ are you? I might be able to stop by and give a hand sometime. I'm not the greatest with wiring, but not the worst either.
  9. I have a fast back style fiberglass top for my SPL310 Roadster The trunk lid has to be removed for proper fitment.

For being an AZ car, mine are surprisingly all still intact. I thought the sun would have ate them by now. I would be interested in a slimmer bumper in the future.

Do you have a picture of this? I've been wanting to do the 4 headlight set up on my B210. Just haven't had the chance to try fitting in another grill.
  12. The injector insulators being broken or missing will not cause a vacuum leak. They are just there for securely mounting the injectors. And I believe the aux air regulator is open when cold, then completely closed when warm. If I remember correctly, it's a heated wire element that closes more as the wires heat up, thus closing the regulator.
  13. I registered last week, it will be my first JCCS experience and I can't wait. I'm taking my 75 280Z Hopefully I'll have all my new suspension parts on by then and a set of Rota's!
