  1. Give Riley Curtis a call at Lynchburg Nissan for hard to find parts, the Nissan warehouse is right next door to them,he also gives excellent discounts to ratsun/datsun owners. 1-800-443-2117.........
  2. Good eye on the tin cans Flatcat 19,it worked great just to get the car to my friend for final weld on exhaust, here are some interior shots,Thanks for the compliments..............
  3. You have some good points and it is appreciated that you notice things that others might not. Thanks!!!
  4. DAT510: It is because people take and cut the stock spring coils and remove the bump stops to lower the car and tend to forget that while doing hard starts the rearend squats hard mashing the control arms into the under carrage fatiguing and damaging the metal, then while under load it grenades like the oic in your link.Suspension upgrades need to be researched and done right the first time, thats why it took me the time to finish mine right the first time.Believe me it was worth the time it took.
  5. CV axle kits are next,as for shock mounts they are plenty strong, its not like I am pushing major hp!!!
  6. more oics.... the subie before..
  7. Wanted to share info and oics of the upgrade to my 72 510's rear suspension.I collected parts for the last 5 years to complete upgrade. To start I purchased an extra crossmember, pressed the outer bushings out and cleaned out the openings, opened up exhaust opening to 3",installed Byron Meston designed caster/camber adjusters, pressed out control arm bushings, bearings, took all to the media blaster.Brought parts home and POR-15'ed everything.Pressed all bearing, bushings, seals in.Crossmember outer bushings are NOS,I didnt use any poly bushings.Did the DQ rear crossmember washer modification.Installed NOS rear brake cylinders, springs and hardware. Also purchased a Subaru 3.70 LSD third member, installed new clutch pack,seals/gaskets and added a Perrin high capacity rear cover,NOS cover bolts and plugs.Redline synthetic fluid and modifier, then reinstalled Troy Ermish coilovers.

  9. Saw this on MSN Exhaust notes : Report: Nissan Reviving Datsun Brand Will a new sub-brand be sold in emerging markets? By Clifford Atiyeh 17 hours ago Share 557 3 Nissan may be reviving its former nameplate, Datsun, in 2014, if a report by the Japanese news agency Nikkei is to be believed. The report, which did not cite sources, said that Nissan wants to create a lower-cost sub-brand to better compete in countries such as Russia, India and Indonesia. The cars would cost roughly twice that of the Indian-built Tata Nano, the world's cheapest production car, or about $6,100 at today's exchange rates. There are even plans, according to Nikkei, of a 0.8-liter engine destined for Russia. Warranties would be shorter than on regular Nissan cars, according to the report. When reached today, Nissan had no comment on the rumors. Datsun was Nissan's original name prior to the mid-1980s, as anyone older than 25 knows well. (Pictured above is a 1972 Datsun 510 sedan; the 240Z is the brand's most legendary offering.) During the name switch, many Nissan models carried both Nissan and Datsun badges on the back decklids.
