  1. Can't get the Forums there to come up so I couldn't post it there.
  2. I know it's not a Datsun but I figured some of you guys on here may be interested none the less or just like the see the car as it's hard to find an old Celica in this condition. Getting ready to move so I can't take all my vehicles with me, I won't have a shop where I'm moving so I have to sell a few toys for extra moving money and life expenses for when I first get there since I won't have any direct income right off the bat. What I've got for sale here is a 1984 Toyota Celica, it's rwd, so you can get it sideways if you want to lol. But it's in basically mint condition, all the interior is there, I just pulled it out to check for any rust, which is confirmed through the pictures, I'm in the process of sticking everything back together so it will have it's full interior. It's not the "cleanest" interior but it's a full interior, 141,524 miles, runs and drives great, just a bumpy ride cause it has coil-overs up front that make it ride stiff. It's is an automatic but it shifts out great, kicks down when you get on it to make a pass, but it's easy to find a 4spd or 5spd manual trans for a 22R-E if you were interested in swapping it over to a manual. It is fuel injected ;) starts right up every time, I have all the gaskets for the head up basically, just in case I ever decided to tear it down and freshen it up one day. It's got a few dents and a couple dings but no scratches in the paint, it's still original and you can still see the orange peel in a lot of the surface. I suppose that's all I can think of right now off the top of my head so if you have any questions at all feel free to ask me and I'll respond to the best of my personal knowledge. The car is located in Pocahontas, AR 72455 and you can contact me thru PM on here or you can call/text (870) 758-2590. Thanks, Chris. The rest of the photos are available here on my PhotoBucket account: http://s150.photobucket.com/albums/s81/chris_johnson83/1984%20Toyota%20Celica/#!cpZZ1QQtppZZ20
  3. That's awesome!!! Definitely gonna buy up a few of those
  4. I just picked up this 510 as a good majority of you I'm sure has seen. I love the car and it runs amazing. There is literally nothing wrong with it, but, I'm looking for a project. I had never seen a 620, let alone know what a Bulletside was, until I was trolling the forums the other day lol. Now I find my thoughts constantly rebounding to them. I would love to have one. As long as it's in daily-able condition until I get my new Frontier then I'd more than likely be interested in it. If you have one and you'd like a mint 510 for a cruiser just shoot me a trade offer. I guess since I have to put a price I'll say $2,500...really looking to trade for a 620 Bulletside though. I really appreciate it and I'll throw a few photos up here for any interested party to see. Contact me at (870) 758-2590 or at cjohnson238@gmail.com Thanks, Chris.
  5. If somebody has a 5spd 510 they are willing to trade I'd be up for it most likely. I don't really like the idea of tearing apart this thing either so if I could find a swapped 510 or something of equal value I'd be interested most likely. Just gotta find people with interest who can get ahold of me, lol.
  6. So has anybody on here done a 5spd swap into one of these model 510's or are all the swaps done with the late 60's and early 70's model 510s?
  7. I think that's just because of the white spots I left from the other photo of the wheels.
  8. So I had a buddy do a quick photoshop for me so you guys could get an actual visual of what I plan to do with this thing. Only thing not in the photoshop is a set of flares and I already pulled all the siding off since it's not original but I hadn't got a picture yet so that's why it's still on there in the photo. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks, Chris.
  9. ahh...lol, looks like I may just go bumper-less :D
  10. I agree!!! So what year cars can I pull that bumper from? Can I use my current bumper brackets? Can I buy just the bumpers or will I need to pull them off a parts car?
  11. idk, I've been under this on my lift already and been checking everything out and all the seals on the engine, trans, and rear end are still fresh. No cracking or even fade to them. They were all still soft and porous. I'm assuming that's because when it wasn't being driven it was always parked in a garage or closed up in the barn. According to the previous owners they said, and I quote, "Yeah man, this car has never even been rained on. The only water it's ever seen is when it was being washed." The undercarriage supports it too, there is absolutely NO dirt, grime, oil, grease, or road residue on the bottom of this thing. You can still see clean, dull but clean, orange paint on the underside and there is ZERO rust. If I can remember I'll take photos the next time I put it on my lift. I kinda hate to but instead of giving it a full once over at 60k miles I will most likely just drop a fresh built KA24DET or an SR20DET into it. May even consider a CA18DET if I can find one lol. I don't know how much of a hassle it will be to go from Auto to Manual but I'm sure it won't be too difficult. Another thing I had meant to ask you guys about is suspension and brakes. What can I do to get this thing to sit lower, without cutting the springs lol, and corner better? Also what can I do to add some stopping power to it such as rear disc upgrade? I'm going to 15" wheels so I should be able to clear any kind of rear disc swap. *Rota Grid V* I was planning on a set of these in 15x7 with a 1.5" lip and 20mm offset. Should I go for a staggered look by getting a 15x8 with a 2.5" lip in the rear or would a 15x8 be too wide on this car? Is a 15 too large? Or would it be about perfect since I'm planning on lowering it anyway and it will help fill in some wheel gap?
  12. Thanks :D I'm glad I was able to find one. It's not an early 70's model 510 but it's still a 510 and I love it :P
  13. Try a spray on truck bed liner. It's textured so from a distance it will look like a vinyl top instead of laying down flat and smooth like regular paint would
  14. lol, I've already made an attempt at removing it and it's NOT coming off in one piece unfortunately :( too much sun over the past 33 years I suppose.
