  1. Thanks for the welcome. I'll be sure to parous the site and thanks for the tip. I think rust work is pretty much done. I might have paid more for custom fab work but I might be in the market for more panels later, or for the 'just in case' factor. Expected to have the rolling primered and undercoated shell back in my garage in a few weeks. Next step is paint. I'll keep the shell in my garage till I can save more money for paint.
  2. Hey all. Wassup and hello. Some might remember me but most, probably not. Southern California member here. I'm actually surprised my login still works. Haven't posted or went to any meets in about 10 years. Still holding on to her. 71 Datsun 510 Sedan. Car was rusting away in a field till I had it shipped down from Hood River Oregon about 12 years ago. Life hits and it's been sitting in my garage ever since. Had the car since birth (literally rode home in it the day after I was born). My dad bought it from a dealer second hand back in 73 or there bouts. Car has been through the ringer and seen better days but hope to restore to a better condition. No pics right now but hope to possibly get some uploaded quite possibly even pics of me as a kid with the car as well. Not much of an intro but I hope to look online for more help and knowledge of the Datsun community and preserve these cars for generations to come.

Just resurrecting this thread to see how many more members have 810's.
  6. I know it's been a year but do 13's fit with the rear disc conversion?
  7. These are all awesome ideas. Was anyone or any shop able to recreate the interior panel stitching??
  8. I'm currently trying to remove my dash entirely. Is there an easy way to do this? The heater a/c box is still attached and a pain to get to and I don't want to break anything. Can someone help a newb? What am I doing wrong?? Is there a write up that I'm overlooking??
  9. Flying to Portland from San Diego. I'll be staying for a week.

  10. This guy started out with a $1000 dd Mazda pick up, that now turned into a bosozoku. http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3305809&userid=0&perpage=40&pagenumber=1
  11. Yay. I love boso but I just cringe when I see people go "all out" boso cars as unique as Skylines but to each their own. Datsuns are ideal for boso mods though. I challenge you to do a sharknose with big single square tilted mean headlamps. Without something like victory or lighting bolt pipes, I would simply consider an oil-cooler showing to be Shakotan style. That's just me though.
  12. Super nice build; and you got a Range Rover(one of my dream cars)??!! Sweeet!!!!
  13. This is an awesome find. I remember when this user posted on JNC. I hope this car goes to someone that will restore it properly.
  14. That sux so bad. I'll try to find a friend of mine with a paypal account to give what I can. I can't even imagine what it feels like to be literally ... left for dead. I really hope and pray that he makes a full-on recovery. I know the feeling of wanting revenge but I hope the fa***ts that did this are caught.
