  1. I haven't really been following Trump's trial, but CNN and MSNBC are conceding that they handed Cohen his ass on the stand. Apparently, the whole case hinged on a single phone call, and that was proven as not true. They might have been able to bring up another witness to corroborate Cohen's story, but the prosecution didn't do that. So basically, they have no credible evidence about the falsifying records, and Cohen has been shown to be a proven liar. Any juror with the smallest inkling of fairness should completely discredit anything he has testified about. If the right was doing this to Biden and he was in the same spot, I would also say the same thing. I don't really care for either one of these clowns, but the Dems are turning this into a third world banana republic by prosecuting these flimsy ass cases. If Trump gets elected, I hope he pardons Hunter. It might be a step towards stopping this back and forth chickenshit. Even the liberal talking heads are pointing out that trying to take Trump out was a big mistake, and it's just made him more popular. I've said this more than once, but my vote is for anyone other than Biden. Literally everything he touches goes to shit.
  2. Finishing off my Datsun trifecta of truck seats. I picked up this 521 seat. Not only it is the nicest seat I've bought, it was insanely cheap. and a very quick trip to pick it up. Surprise. It was a cover over a cover...again. No surprise again, but the cover underneath was not the original cover.. This is me lifting the seat after freeing the outer cover and discovering the cover underneath. No surprise living 90 miles from Mexico. When I was growing up, everybody took their cars down to Tijuana for upholstery. It was crazy cheap compared to US prices, but I'm sure this is why. When I freed the second cover and lifted the seat off of it, there were two shop towels, and this folded up white cloth thing under the seat cover. I was surprised/not surprised when I unfolded the white thing.. There was a brand new lab coat type of thing folded up, and used as seat filler. (along with the two shop towels) You guys that have known me here on Ratsun quite a while and followed my wagon resto remembered that I found all kinds of wacky stuff as that progressed. I think this one even beat the iron-on denim patch used over the floor drain holes instead of rubber plugs. I just had to post this up for the lulz...... The springs and support structure is really in good shape on the seat. It's been the best one yet. I had to a little welding on the seat release mechanism that locks and unlocks to tilt it forward, but it was a quick cut and re-weld. This one will probably be available to buy around $125 when I'm done. I got it really cheap, and it is in nice shape. It's a win/win. I might even throw in the lab coat.
  3. You DO realize he just likes to troll, right? He likes to argue against any opinion you have. I do that myself from time to time. I do enjoy cranking someone up from time to time..

  5. I got the 720 seat done in under a month. That's hella-fast for me..
  6. I read an article yesterday that China has come out with an electric car that gets around 250 miles per charge. A few car manufacturers have gotten their hands on a few, and completely disassembled them down to every nut and bolt. They all quietly agree that it is a very good quality car. The Chinese sell them in various countries for around $12k. Their lobbyists immediately started lobbying for a ban on USA sales, and I see today that Brandon has now upped the tariff on Chinese Electric vehicles to 100%. At $12k I would consider a little "in town" EV if it was good quality and had some service backup. At $24k, I say GTFO on that. Thanks Brandon. I actually need a new daily driver, and I'm going to try to make my current driver last as long as possible. With my age and health problems, I'll probably not make 2035, but I'm damn sure not EVER going to buy an EV as my sole transport. Just IMHO, of course.
  7. Manual transmission stops car thief in Colorado.. https://www.foxnews.com/us/colorado-womans-attempt-steal-truck-thwarted-her-inability-drive-stick-shift-police
  8. I might have posted this before, but these guys and the Beach Boys were one of the reasons I started playing guitar at a very early age. (Yes, I'm showing my age)
  9. I had a friend with a '67 Cougar when we were in high school. It also had a 3 speed. I always liked much more than the 64-65 Mustangs..
  10. Not sure about Cougar body parts, but you can buy and assemble a complete early Mustang from a catalog. I know you can't find any Cougars in wrecking yards, but new stuff is widely available.
  11. According to what I read, the Dems know Kamala is incompetent. I just saw a headline that has her placed with the lowest approval rating of any VP ever. I believe when she ran for President, she came in 4th place in California. I'm really hoping that trend continues when Newsom decides to have a go at it.
  12. Ran cross this slightly used Tesla truck for sale. Thought I might buy it and flip it for a profit...
  13. It's not that way here is SoCal. The big cities elected progressive DA's who promised criminal reform by not punishing criminals. If course, it has turned it into a disaster, and crime numbers are now way up in the cities and counties that did this. The LA Police Chief just had a press conference bemoaning the fact that they were ordered to release ALL the arrested college protesters. They were cut loose before they were even processed through. The lower income areas in LA County who (most likely) voted for this, are now the ones who are impacted the most by the increase in crime. The policies have also tied the hands of the police, and they don't even respond to certain calls anymore.
