  1. thanks hainz, think i found one, did alignment right after tie rods and ball joints, still had the same problem thats what brought me to the steering box, if this doesnt fix it i dont know where to look
  2. yes its all the way down and there is still a little play in the steering wheel. my car wanders all over the road and i have replaced tie rods , ball joints and all front end bushings. all i can think now is that it has to be in the steering box, anybody got any suggestions?
  3. looking for a steering box that is in good shape or rebuildable for 71 510, hopefully in the portland/ vancouver wa. area

    510 rough Idle

    i agree with mike, check that the choke is fully returning when you push it in( mine didnt and it sounded similar). if not it could be something else. i would follow mikes order of what to check on what to check next
