  1. Well didn't get the ram but I did get a 07 Dodge Nitro so give me a month or so and I will be bringing her home. I cant wait to work on her/him (He was ridding that other car). Cant wait and will be working on him slowly but will be getting work non the less.
  2. Well I am getting a Dodge Ram 1500 in a month in a half if everything works out. So if I do this little girl is coming home on a trailer. It will be a slllllllllllllloooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwww build but I do plan on getting to work on her if I get this truck. One of our vans took a turn for the worse and our other is on its last legs. I need a truck for our business and the side benefit is it can TOW my ratsun home. So cross your fingers I can finally for the first time have my girl on our property.
  3. Old thread back to top again. Yes I moved. I have moved to Kingman and I do work Sundays in Lake Havasu. While I have thought about selling my baby I wont let it go for cheap and its not worth what I would need to let it go. I have been talking with wife lately (got married) and she says I may start working on it once we have a few other things fixed around out new mobile home we purchased. I wont be able to get back to the truck until probably March or April of next year. I am not quite ready to give up hope on this thing. I just have to be living with it on the property in order to keep up with its needs. Thanks for the offer but I am not interested. I did have a friend say they had a 620 in the local Junk Yard but I am not sure.
  4. I cant beleive that dumb B!(@% at the DMV. | told here the truck DID NOT HAVE a vin number and she still had me drive it down to the DMV and then while looking the truck over said "THIS TRUCK DOESN'T HAVE A VIN". I couldn't help it I said "What you thought I was a lier or what". She gave me the number to the level 2 inspectors so I can make an appointment for next thursday. I want this thing IN MY NAME. Even if it is the slowest Ratsun project in the western states I still want it in my name NOW. So who knows how long it will take after that. It did feel good to drive it on the road even though there seems to be a problem with the rear brakes. Oh well I was able to drift it to the DMV and back without any wrecks. There is now a brown spot in the middle of my passangfer side seat from my passanger for some reason. Oh yea and I need new seat belts as my seat belt snapped in half. I also need a new horn as it started to belch out sound and wouldn't go off. NO I DIDN"T GET LEARNED ANY SPELLING IN SCHOOLS.....BUT THANKS ANY HOW..............Its ok I know I cant spell for crap too.
  5. Rear brakes are fixed. I went in there with all my brake tools and only used needle nose pliers LOL. I can’t believe how simple they made the brakes on these things. It was so easy the first one had me flustered because I was trying to over complicate things. I am still waiting on the junk yard tires for the DMV trip. I also pulled out all the carpet because there had been standing water. I have allot of surface rust to take care of I will be using bed lining to cover it before I start sewing carpet. I also found the floor board was pushed up under the driver’s seat and there was a crack in the drivers seat mounting thing a muggier (yes that is now the official name).
  6. I pulled the drums today and the passenger wheel cylinder is leaking so I am replacing the seals on both rear brakes. The pads look almost knew so I think I will leave them alone for now. I will also pull the fronts and see if there is any problem with them when I fix my back. I don't believe that there will be any problems with the front but who knows. The rims I got did fit so I will get to the DMV sometime in the next century or two. I will hopefully get the wheels and drums mounted before the end of the week.
  7. Yea shipping would be BIG $$$$$$$$$$$$ otherwise I would.
  8. They sold that rat before I could see it............. :( sniff sniff I have to try some rims out and see if they fit so I can get a few spare tires for the trip to the DMV
  9. OK I tried to bleed the brakes but they didn't send out any blood. The bleeding took for around 5 min and then I could go strait back down to the floor with no resistance. I guess its time to take off the tires and drums and look at what is going on in there. The hoses all look fine other then being old but no signs of leakage. So I will take it to the DMV with just parking brakes. I found another 620 but don't know the year yet I am going to go check out for parts. If anyone needs something off it shoot me a price and I will see what they say as they are parting the thing out. I am hopping it is a 79 then I can steal the distributor (pointless), the rear axle (4.11 gearing), The radiator (cross my fingers it looks good), Dash if its good, rpm or clock (ether or dosnt matter), I also hope to score a L20B to rebuild but it has to be DIRT CHEAP. I don't know anything about this truck other then its a 620 and I have not seen it yet. P.S. I wont get to see it tell this coming weekend.
  10. I so want that slider rear window!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am looking for one localy that is at a ratsun price!
  11. Good luck in your search. I hope you find your dream 620. I got the master cylinder, vacuum booster, and spacer back into the vehicle using a Magiver type of reserve (tubing). I tried bleeding the brakes but its still verry soft and I didn't have enough fluid to try bleeding anymore. I don't see any leaks but there could be some I cant see. I also hooked up a radiator that is not a good fit but will get me to the DMV once I have the brakes worked out. Right now to get it drivable (other then DMV trip) I need to fix the rest of the braking system, Get a radiator and electric fan (blades are braking off current fan), do a better tuneup (fluid changes, points, timing, and spark plugs). and get a cute girl to sit in the passenger seat. I did fix my drivers side door so that I can now open it from the outside without keeping a window open or holding onto the clip with vice grips, I also got it where I can start and kill the engine from inside the cab with a toggle switch and push button. I tested the Charging system and A/C pump, the alternator works A+, however the a/c pump engages and turns but makes some noise so I will have to check this out hopefully its simple. I don't know if I will get out there again this week but am looking for 2 used (DIRT CHEAP) tires that hold air so i can take this girl to the DMV as soon as I fix the brakes. I could use the E-brakes but prefer not being that I will be on the highway for a 1/2 mile or so.
  12. OK its purring but has a little tap I am hopping that I can get over there and put the brake parts back on now that I found everything except my reserves. I will be using PVC just to test out the rest of the braking system. I am hopping to get this thing to the DMV quick but we will see. I still have lots of work but I can start using it soon I hope. I know this is a lot of double posts but just want to keep you all updated.
  13. OK I have not done diddly squat to the rat for over a year. I even had an offer to buy from someone on the forums I must say thanks but no thanks. I decided I wasn't going to get crap done where it was and I had to move it anyhow so its in town. I got it purring like a kitten and its time to fix the brakes and get her to the DMV. She is drivable as far as everything other then the brakes and cooling. Please don't get me wrong SHE IS NOT MINT. She still looks like crap and I don't know how she will handle in town. I am glad to have her where I can put some lube on her and rub her with a wrench now and then. My friend is letting me keep her at his place for now. I am also working on a 71 f100 pickup truck. I hope to have the brakes fixed by the end of the month and a new radiator on the 19th of the month (HOPE KEYWORD). Will start posting as progress goes.
  14. Sorry all that its been so long. It gets VERY HOT DURING THE SUMMER HERE and I was not able to work on it during the heat of the summer. I am in school right now but will be trying to get it too my place to start back up on it in a month or two. I have also been spending my money on new scuba gear so the car has been in limbo to that. Will start posting again soon.
  15. You know I still have one of these. Its in my Oregon home though :( I should go get it and bring it down here to AZ. I aslo have a couple of Comador 64's there. The main reason I need too get up there though is I have two Honda trail 90's that would look awsoommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmee in the back of my datsun :P
