more so than the needle missing its in overall rough shape. personally i am pretty comfortable with wiring. What yoyr saying mike is that the cluster harness itself disconnects at a (2) 10 pin connectors then i just repin those until dash functions properly?
I have a 1980 king cab. and the po took apart the gauge cluster losing the needle to the speedo in the process. Today I found a cluster out of a 1984 720, to get the wiring correct what all would i need out of the parts truck?
#2 & #3 were wet last night and #1 & #4 were dry. im going to get new plugs and wires after work tonight since it needs them anyways and put 5 gallons of fresh gas in it.
I checked the timing by turning the engine over to TDC and looked at the rotor on the distributor which was pointing at the #1 terminal.
I have checked spark using a spark plug already, it has strong spark.
Finally, accelerator pump is pumping in fuel when carb is opened.
No matter how bad this might sound.. if i couldnt find the tailight assembly at a decent price i was going to make a roll pan and mount cadi lights horizontally.
