  3. This is a nice build. Want mine to be this clean when it's done.
  4. Have a drive shaft for the 4speed on the way. Installed the pedal assembly and removed the center console and automatic shifter. Getting closer.
  5. I found 38/32 Nissan valves on eBay that I think I'm going to use if not just get the valves that you suggested. 40mm intake valves that I was thinking of using were from a VW beetle. Would have to machine the length down to make them work. Read on the Datsun1200 wiki that someone put in 40/33 valves in from tomei I believe. But found info(flow charts) on the 38/32 set up. Seems like a good set up. Just have to decide how much money I want to through at it before a ca18det or sr20 swap is more economical.
  6. So got the automatic out this morning. Found out that my engine mounts are doing absolutely nothing. Also, the pilot bushing that came in the exedy clutch kit is the wrong size. But the biggest issue is the output yoke is different and I don't have one nor can I find one. Anybody have one? I'll put an ad up in the classified section. Looks like the automatic transmission mount will work if I flip it around like I read. Hope the yoke doesn't hold me up from finishing the swap.

  8. Just popped off my valve cover and I have an h75 head. From what I was reading on the datsun1200 wiki page its a good head. Also going to 40/33 mm valves, good Port and Polish, and double valve springs would make decent power(for an A-series). Does the closed chamber h89 head make that much of a difference?
  9. I have not removed the auto trans yet. the clutch kit I bought came with a pilot bushing. From what I'm seeing there is a hard line that goes from the master to the slave flex hose??? if so, I guess I'm going to have to get it made. As far as the brake master cylinder, I can only find it without a reservoir. Does to 210 reservoir fit? Thanks for all the info Datzenmike.
  10. Getting ready to do my transmission swap. Removed the brake pedal assembly and prepping the clutch/brake assembly for install. Since I'm doing the 280zx strut swap now would be a good time to swap the master cylinder. Are 280zx masters direct bolt in if not what is everyone using? also I'm pretty sure the vacuum booster is shot. I finally received the clutch kit, slave, and master. The clutch hose I order is way too short. Does anybody know the stock length of the hose? Also does anybody know the bolt sizes for the flywheel and pressure plate? I know its a lot of questions. I appreciate any info. Just trying to prevent any road blocks before I get in too deep. Thanks.
  11. Not to worried where I live. Why are all the bumpers that I'm finding $500-600??? Only paid $200 for the car? Any alternatives. 1200, roadster bumpers?? Don't mind if they are too wide can splice them to the right width.
  12. Removed the bumpers, trim and front/rear side lights. Started cutting out the cancer and making patch panels. Going to delete the side lights and trim. Need to source some non-US bumpers, can't stand the original ones. Also going to delete the sunroof. Trying to make it as light as possible. It already looks a lot better without the bumpers. Not sure if I'm going to roll the fenders or add extensions. Guess I need to get some rims soon. Thinking 14x6 with 0 offset. What do you guys think?
  13. Just received my lightweight flywheel from Japan today. Still waiting on a few more parts to start the manual swap.
  14. I'm going the option A route with my A14. I'm doing a 4 speed swap and planning on pulling the engine to clean it up and re- seal it. While it's out I'm going to Port and polish the head and do the valve springs. Do you have the isky valve springs part number and the spec on the delta cam. Did you replace your lifters when you replaced your cam? Thanks.
