so well I guess that I`ll be stuck with my old rubbers, damn I can get some custom made but the quality is shitty . Anyhow just to share some updates on the paint and bodywork at the end I decided to sandblast half the car or well the parts that really needed it and weren`t gonna be properly done with a brush and sandpaper. I must say that I`m really happy with the result underneath the car it looks like brand new
guys does anybody know where can I get all the rubber seals for my wagon ? or at least the most important ones ? I guess that my front windshield rubber is not the same as the one in a 510 right ? ( asking just cuz it may be easy to get one of those).
I´m finally about to finish with the rear axel :
so I can finally put my head on bodywork and paint
so I went to body shop this weekend and ohh boy that I feel poor now lol the price were outrageous, I´m gonna have to find another place, it´s a shame cuz they are serious people in the industry. I´ve been doing some calls to get a budget and I came across a huge doubt : should I sandblast the car?? I`ve been told that sandblasting makes the metal thinner plus if you don`t apply epoxi fast enough you are gonna get microscopic rust that will fuck your car later on , therefore you should avoid it unless the car has plenty of rust and my car has very little rust. I know that some of those comments are not out of place cuz once I saw that in Graveyard Carz they used acid instead of sandblasting cuz the car was in such bad condition that sandblasting would destroy it and even acid itself was a risky bet soooo can somebody enlighten me
