Hello Guys I'm in the final stage of my A10 build and I've been looking for rubbers for a while now and I haven't got any luck. Does anybody know if the trunk weatherstrip in a Datsun 120Y(77-81 ) is a match for the A10? are they any other weatherstrip/rubber that are interchangeable ????

well it needs the motor first lol I have to get R15x7 ET35 that should let me run w/o rolling or rubbing anything with a good stance.It's in peru, I found 4 imperfections in the paint, 2 of them in the front door due to whoever put the mirrors adjusted them too tight and the other 2 in the fenders so I'll be back to fix those. For the moment I'm trying to get rubbers/weatherstrip and stuff ...I just bought an original AC commander I hope it arrives soon

my bad I got a bit carried away ...Maybe a lot lol I do follow the built threads and I don't remember seing any A10 built,at least not in the first pages, let alone a wagon ( sucker for the wagons here ! love Duncan's built ) well I'm in the states now so I dont think I'm gonna be able to get enough pics to open a built thread and keep it interesting I did went to pick up the car from the bodyshop and took some good pics

well I found that code online but it`s period correct so unless they had an specific colour for the south america market I can`t think of any other explanation, yup there is enough good paint to get a match but I dont know if I should go with that or stick to the code, does anybody know if there is something a biit lighter than the nissan regal metallc red ? cuz I didn`t find anything like that :crying:

well prep work is infinite i´ll be posting more pics of rust repairs tomorrow lol the good thing is that the only thing that I have to remove now is the sound dampening material that is under the seats I´m crossing my fingers to don´t find rust there :/ I got a sample using the paint code and fuck it, it doesn´t match the paint , the nissan regal metalic red is way darker. I know that the car hasn´t been resprayed and I´m comparing it against paint that was cover by the rubbers so there is no chance that the sun has deteriorated it :confused: so I´m torn between what it´s supposed to be the original paint and the actual paint in the car

yup the most frustrating part is that I have to travel and I´m gonna be away for 4 months or so, I really want to drive the car before I leave but at this rate I don´t know if it´s gonna be possible which sucks.This weekend we took the dash off and gues what I found !... more freaking rust ! the owner of the body shop was thinking about charging me more and I was like dude don´t have a penny to spend thanksfully t wasn´t that much but for a second I thought wel I´m fucked lol here are some pics of the progress

thanks ! all is coming together, though slooooowly. I was hoping to finish the body work in 2017 but I guess that 2018 will do lol I´ll posting more pics of the progress soon

Yup for a mirror ,I would say it wasn´t on the cheap side. Though the custom base was 65$ and the donor mirror was another 70$ so 135$ in total I think it wasn`t a bad deal B) B)
