No, that's not me. Maybe it was the last owner because I have only had it for about 6 months or so.

Yeah, I considered that option but it also put a hole in the number 4 piston and dug into the cylinder wall the entire way down. I am planning on pulling it apart and seeing what I can do to rebuild it but would like to put another one in there to get it running while I wait. Plus it wouldn't hurt to have an extra.

Hello everyone, I have always been a lurker on many sites and am trying to start participating more instead of just browsing. So this is the start!
I have a 1985 720 regular cab 2WD 5 speed that is my daily driver, I picked it up 6 months or so ago and have had absolutely no regrets. I got it, changed fluids, did a tune up and immediately drove it on a 3000 mile round trip to Colorado. It never skipped a beat. So now I am in the process of fixing things on it and just making it a little nicer in general.
I also have a 720 King Cab 4x4 that I just barely bought. It had a blown head gasket so I traded a spare gun for it and drove it home. Pulled the head off to find it was a little more extensive than that. It must have been blown for a long time because it eroded away the cylinder wall and head surfaces between cylinder 3 & 4. Ouch. I think I sourced a replacement this weekend though so I hope to get her running soon!
I also have an AE86 Corolla that has been my main project for a long time. It's mainly just a drift car that I drive to and from the track and the occasional car meet when people aren't being stupid. As of last month it no longer has the 4AGE and I bought a 3SGE Beams for it
