  1. HORY SHET... 5k at 60? ... my 720 had 4.625 (pathfinder rear) and small tires at 70mph it was humming along at 3k rpm... so you with 33" tires and 5k at sixty sounds like 9.29 gears... and that stock carb is so much very holding your truck back... i bought the 32/36 new... and totally wished i had got the 38... you should get the 38. you have a nice header, and plenty of exhaust... the next step is a carb, then maybe an "RV" cam (they do great for wheeling) schneider or web cams has great selection, i think comp cams makes on for your truck... as for the carb, they go new for 3 hundo. you should be able to find one used for half that (count on a rebuild kit, and rejetting it) also check out the "weber carburetors hp book" and the "turbochargers hp book" amazon sells used books like that for about ten bucks a pop...
  2. your distributor advance is one of the metal tubes running across the front of your engine. it also attaches to a two ish inch tall temp switch on your intake manifold... to clean that mess up you need simple green, and a weber dgev (i suggest 38) what mine looks like...
  3. man, thats rough luck... i run my z24 to 6 grand all the time. i used to cruise at 3,500 (4.60 gears) the only thing that has gone wrong is a blown hose- engine looses water- head gasket blows.. just toss a new gasket on. run a file across the head for good measure, and it down the road... it seems like your last motor had been highly neglected... tisk tisk on po
  4. :( my 720 is sold... i now have no more japanese goodness.

  5. selling my 720, come test drive (check out my for sale 85 nissan)

  6. ANYONE IN THE SCAPPOOSE AREA, OR PORTALND AREA COME TEST DRIVE, THEN MAKE AN OFFER
  7. i did make that airdam. along with all the other sheetmetal work. in order to copy that stuff, you would have to buy the truck, or convince a freind to buy it. i might still have the dimensions for it. but i just dont have any more time to do anything extra these days. anyone can make a decent offer, and come take a test drive on the weekends. super fun truck handles like a dime
  8. $1800 or come take a test drive and make me an offer. Rob 503 758 3324 call or text with question or offers 1985 nissan 720 king cab runs and drives better than new. has cam, weber, pace setter header, pathfinder rear end, new tires, studded tires on wheels. all sorts of extra parts. stock rear end and driveline, spare head, stock cam, a lot of other little randoms, enough to fill the bed. quick truck, super fun. my build link is in my signature
  9. as far as an aluminum head vs an iron head for propane, i dont see where it would matter. propane burns with less intensity, giving it a higher octane rating. would also mean an aluminum head would not be harmed if running propane
  10. i could measure the diameter of my torsion bars, but i think wayne is already running a king cab, unless im mistaken... are you asking about the springs for your dually?
  11. there are some things i like about an L motor... but i have grown to love my Z24. with a cam, weber, and port head, it gets it on... i would never say its better than any L motor though, just saying the Z motor has potential... on another note. i like what you did with your front end. i thought about doing that too, but went a slightly different direction...
  12. 6.5" of snow in scappoose... no work for me
