  1. Just an update... Found out what the ticking was, valve seat came out. Huge Thanks to Craig for hooking me up with a head and helping me install it!
  2. Any updates?! The suspense is killing me... Beautiful ride and excellent work! I hope my truck is half as nice as yours one day!!
  3. Hey all, just thought I'd throw this out there, called around a couple junk yards in Eugene looking for misc. Stuff and b$r off prairie rd. has a l16 complete motor they said they'd take 150 for, also pick a part off hwy 99 has a ka24 they said they'd get rid of for 600 and they said they had a few 5 speeds that bolt up to it they would sell both for 850, I'm assuming you could talk them down. Beautiful day, enjoy it!
  4. I'm wondering how long it has been ran with barely any oil, maybe the previous owner ran it that way as well? Hopefully it didnt create any problems...
  5. Quick update... I decided to do an oil change, its been registering on the dipstick r Right where I'd think it should. I put it on the lift, pull the plug, and only a quart and a half drained out...
  6. spotted a 320 today at bimart on river rd Eugene
  7. hahaha! Hell yea... Definitely need to figure something out
  8. I dont know if this is the right place for this... But anyways, I thought I'd put some leds under the hood in my 521 to replace the tiny halogen bulb in there, I think its a little too bright lol but I like it. I like it a lot. In doing so I looked up and found some notes in the dust on the hood, kinda random but I thought it was funny, pretty genius really...
  9. Thanks for all the help draker! Seems to be running pretty well, minor sputter at idle but nothing devastating, there was also a blockage in the fuel line and fuel filter so I replaced the line and cleaned out the filter. Like Draker says there is a ticking sound coming from the rear of the motor, I adjusted the valves twice, once cold and once hot, then draker helped me Do it hot another time. It only happens once the motor is warmed up and is revved, doesn't do it at idle. I appreciate all your guys help and camt wait to drive this puppy around :)
  10. that would be awesome, I'm working tomorrow but Sunday would probably work if your up for the challenge!
  11. It did get dark and cold so I gave up on it for the night. Back at it another day
  12. OMG... I put it all back together tried to start and nothing. So I checked for spark, nothing, with the cap off, turned it over and the rotor only moved 1/4 inch. Took the dostributor off, oil pump, the shaft is now in a bind and won't come out, this sucks...
  13. And yes the fat side was towards the front of the motor
